It is GTA IV people the biggest game of the year expect huge numbers.

My analyst :

GT5 Prologue made 400 000 in two days,with a hardware increasing to 150 k. We will have 4 first days of GTA IV's sales and we can imagine people prefers GTA IV. So it will turn around 1 million in Europe for the first week.

Now the difference between PS3 and 360 : websites say PS3'reservations are better, and there is a bundle for the PS3. So I think it will be a little advantage for the PS3.

Before I give any statements I´ve got a question:

Are you guys sure Brett talked about consumer pre-orders? Actually, whenever he talks about pre-orders it´s retail pre-orders, isn´t it? (could be different in this case, though)

I wouldn´t expect GTA 4 to sell more than 4 million units in one week in America, though. If these are consumer pre-orders that would mean the game would see something like 2 million on PS3 and 2.8 million on Xbox 360 - only in the US.

Aren´t we somewhat overestimating it?

Why do you have the Wii so low?

Why do you think the PS3 is gonna sell 500k units, lol? 

My "pro ps3" prediction:

I see that as a best possible scenerio for the PS3, assuming the Wii has enough supply to account for an average up week.

You realize the PS3 would have to literally triple in sales worldwide to sell 500k units? I guess if any game can do it, this one can. I doubt it though. I think your predictions are wishful thinking, and if I'm proven wrong, then jeez, I have obviously misjudged your prediction abilities, or prehaps simply your luck.

Hardware is all that matters to me, so I'll skip the software predictions.

sometime leo-j makes some pretty stupid predictions....but once in a while he makes a correct prediction..

e.g when last year he made the prediction in 08 Ps3 will NEVER go below 120K....people laughed at him as in 07 PS3 reaching 120K was seen as fabulous for the console..

but now we're in 08 & PS3 average weekly sales are in the 180 - 190K range...so don't underestimate him EVEN THOUGH I disagree with his prediction

aren't we talking about retail preorders here? We pretty much have to be don't we? I remember all the hype over GT5P because PS3 fans thought that 1million preorders meant well over a million sold, but it was just retail preorders.

Do you honestly think 4 million people PREORDERED GTA4 in America alone? That's more than Halo SOLD WORLDWIDE in the first week.
