I came here after gamespot got slower and slower, and became corrupt.

What I found funny is that they didn't ban the use of VGChartz numbers for discussions, they actually banned the use of the name VGChartz. Everyone at the site is forced to edit out the name VGChartz when they speak about it, which is ridiculous. It's not a swear word. Some users have taken to calling it V******z and some have just referred to it as "The Banned Site", which is utterly childish.

And, not that there could be a sensible reason for that kind of silliness, but if anything that kind of treatment will make people more interested in "what's behind the asterisks."

I know if I heard casual reference to another site, I probably wouldn't pay it much mind at all... but a "banned site"? I'd make sure I investigated to see what it was all about!

I found this on their list of ban words:

4. VG Chartzzzzz: Long history with GAF's sales-age. Numbers are never accurate. -- Posting anything from this site will result in a ban. Our numbers are right. Theirs are wrong. Period.

What the fuck is with them? How can members over there go along with that kind of censorship!!! I can't believe it... You get banned for saying the name of a website... It's like if IGN would censor the word gamespot... It would be fucking retarded.

 That has been there for a while.  NeoGAF always avoids problems instead of confronting them.  They obviously feel threatened by us.  Its too bad really that they are so stingy and closed minded.
