Forums - Gaming Discussion - Crossroads: What should I get? Okami, Wii Fit, No More Heroes, MK Wii, etc?

OK, So I have a Wii. I just paid off two Credit Cards with my Tax Return (another issue...). I still have two Credit Cards to pay off which I will tackle soon (with my "economic stimulus check", again another issue...). I would like to buy a game in the mean time, and I can't decide between Okami, Wii Fit, No More Heroes, Mario Kart Wii, and perhaps one or two others. Anybody have any suggestions?

Note: I don't want to buy more than one game and start back down a path towards debt. I really want Wii Fit for some regular "fittercise." But it comes out next month... I also want Okami to enjoy a really great game. But Mario Kart Wii is just around the corner and looks VERY tempting... I have been wanting to play No More Heroes for a while and would like to support the dev who made it.  I just don't know what to choose!

Don't get No More Heroes. It's an amazing game... but short.

Get one of the others.. Rent No More Heroes and buy it later when you have a better money to time to play ratio.

I haven't played the other 3 myself.  The order I plan to buy them in is Okami, Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii... for what it's worth.

Okami + No more heroes

I got Okami on Saturday. Aside from the "voice acting", it's an amazing purchase. I'm still skeptical about Wii Fit, and I haven't tried No More Heroes yet. Okami won't dissapoint, though. I'm sure the PS2 version is pretty cheap, and No More Heroes was $39 on Saturday. Maybe you can get both, that way. Stretch that dollar!

Forget my last post. Under no circumstances, should you NOT get Mario Kart Wii. If you're interested in that type of game, it should be a must buy!

Wow, that's a tough call. I say go with Okami and Mario Kart if you can spare the money for two. If you're only going with one, I say..... damn..... Okami. It's a very long, beautiful game that needs support. Plus it's only $40. NMH is too short to just get that, and Wii Fit is still a ways off. I haven't played MK yet, so I can't really comment on it.

You know, those two credit cards are empty now......

@Phendrana: lolz. I am not putting this purchase on my credit card. It is coming out of my bank account. I mentioned that I am not about to go back down the path of debt. I still need to buy a new car soon. Might have to buy another one later in the year too. I still can't decide between saving for Wii Fit, or buying Okami or MK:Wii now (well when it comes out this month).

I agree with this completly.  NMH is an amazing game, but it is short enough to get through the storyline in a rental period.  It does have replay value, so that is why you should pick it up later.  But for now go with one of the other three and rent NMH.

Buy Wii Fit... Rent the rest of the games...

Oh man, I'd say MKWii, maybe depends on how good the online is.

NMH is really good, but has about 14~20 hours of play time in it.

I'm playing through Okami right now haven't checked my play time yet.

idk, tough one, all those games are... god damn it!!!

This is what reggie meant by an overdose of gaming heaven.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
