PC gaming has greater sales than ANY console
Its doing just fine!
Tease.
Gaming companies, though justly want to protect their product, are worrying to much about piracy. Put all that wasted energy into making a better product and you get more sales. The people who are going to pirate a game are going to do it whether you put protection on it or not as there are people who take pride in cracking your protection codes.
BenKenobi88 said: There's nothing wrong with PC gaming...some more exclusive awesome games wouldn't hurt though. If you think PC gaming is expensive, you clearly haven't been watching the PC market for long...it's actually pretty cheap right now...meaning you could build a gaming PC for less than $600 and have pretty good settings. |
I know this is an old thread and all. But right now Blizzard has 3 games announced, granted one is an expansion but it might as well be a new one. Episode 3 of Half-Life 2 SHOULD show up this year (crossing my fingers for this). And honestly these 4 titles alone will keep me in front of my PC for another good 3-4 years (few months for Ep.3 Several years each on the Blizzard titles). Also spore is showing up later on this year and I know that will waste a lot of my time as well. Unlike 2007, 2008-2009 (maybe 2010) will be 2 amazing years for PC gaming.

Only reason why people are saying pc gaming is in any doom are the companies that aren't making as much sales as they would want to cough Crytek. I mean lets be honest many people got hold of free copies somehow and crytek and other companies are crying about it. Of course company like blizzard, or valve aren't cause they are putting out products really worth buying and of course they are just supporting the pc market even more.
Lets look at this also that future releases sadly many games are coming from the 360 and just getting ported and they usually don't end up top notch compared to their counterpart unless they actually take the time to adept the game for pcs. So then those companies cry cause sales aren't as good due to their sloppy work for porting.
Pc gaming is dead? since when
The Sims 3 (says my wife)
