Yakuza 7 has new game+ and higher difficulty behind a DLC paywall! Wheeeee! If you're a fan of Yakuza or Ryu ga Gotoku Studios in general, you know this is a dirty cockslap to the face. My most anticipated game of the year has been torpedoed into a no-buy. 2020!

I admire your fortitude.

If it was me in your position and the game was either cyberpunk or halo... I'd fold and buy them day one

Thanks. I find it pretty easy to vote with my wallet, and "no-buy" successfully for the most part. I DID fold, and buy Senran Kakura: Burst Renewal when I resolved not to do so due to it being censored in the west on PS4.....We'll see if I can hold off when it actually releases "sometime in 2020".

Gaming-wise, seems like a fairly normal year to me. The most exceptional part seems to be the release of new consoles (assuming they're not delayed), but even that's normal - just fairly rare. Outside of gaming, well, many of you have probably seen the 'my normal life is called quarantine?' memes. So far, not too much difference for me, so I don't really care too much about the situation (on a personal level - obviously things are pretty bad for lots of people). That said, the epidemic hasn't really hit my country too hard yet, and it's definitely going to get worse, which might change things a bit. Still, I don't expected anything too drastic from my point of view (unless I get infected and hit really hard, which is not too likely).

I'm one of the lucky few that's  having a pretty good 2020. The gym is closed so I'm just skipping my usual 5 day workout routine guilt free. I'm getting scheduled for 7 days a week, because we can't hire anybody new at my job, until the virus is gone. But I just sit in an empty building and play on my Switch on weekends. My boss doesn't care if I do. He's just happy to have somebody cover our insane worker shortage. So it's overtime pay for what doesn't really feel like work. My building is extra empty because 90% of workers are working from home. So at this point I have maybe 30-60 minutes of real work to do even on weekdays.

My student loans are interest free for two months, thanks to the virus.

I'll be making 150% my normal monthly pay due to all this OT.

Government is sending everyone a $600-$1200 relief check.

Trump can't take credit for Obama's economy anymore, so might not get re-elected!

It's some random new character as the main now anyway. I have to finish Yakuza 4,5,6 yet. I can wait until 2023 for Yakuza 7 to finally get a price drop, with included DLC and everything. I'm good.
