Why is Curl's post so liked? It's just trashing Nintendo. This place is weird.

This place is ridiculous.

You are often angry, you've jumped at me a few times, and you trash Nintendo just like that and people praise you for it. It's weird.

I never said that Smash Ultimate was a port of Smash U, I said it was a deluxe version, which you will have a very hard time convincing me of otherwise. I played Smash U competitively for years online, and I picked up Smash Ulitimate in a matter of seconds, it was as if I was playing the same game. You may argue that there are more fun features, more characters, but the game is essentially the same foundation, with some extras, in very much the same was as a Star Craft expansion, or a deluxe or definitive edition of a game, these days.

You are still upset at me for my belief in creationism, and for my fear of vaccines in the past. I never pretended to be an epidemiologist or doctor. It still doesn't give you a right to treat me like trash, and I don't think your attitude is any good. You need to learn to stop thinking so much higher of yourself than others. You're not better than anyone, and people will like you more for it.

Curl, you know that Nintendo has always had this kind of situation, and you know that they always end up delivering A+ game after A+ game. With a weak 3rd party support, as a game maker, they are incredible to be able to support their own platform almost all on their own.

You also know that they are hard at work on the next Metroid, and they often surprise us with new upcoming games we didn't expect. I remember when Donkey Kong Country returns was announced, only 3 months before it released.

I'm not saying you don't have a right to be frustrated, but you also need to remember the game maker you are a big fan of, and they never really let us down. Even in the most difficult times, we got Smash Melee, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine, Skyward Sword, and many other great new IPs like Animal Crossing, Xenoblade Chronicles, and some from partners that Nintendo attracted to them, with games like the Last Story, Killer7, The Wonderful 101, Bravely Default and even big 3rd party games like Monster Hunter on 3DS.

Nintendo is great, not because they pretend to be great, they just are.

They have a realistic release schedule that they have to work with, games take time to make.

Still, I heard that Animal Crossing was the game to play while we all slow down a little. And there are also things to do outside of video games when the world slows down, like going outside for walks and exploring our world. That is what Miyamoto was doing when he invented the idea for Zelda, and also for Pikmin.

I understand that droughts can be shitty, but in light of the times when the games library is strong it is a reasonable price to pay.
