It's not only Sony...Geoff Keighley is also skipping E3 , first time in 25 years

Forums - Gaming Discussion - It's not only Sony...Geoff Keighley is also skipping E3 , first time in 25 years

I don't see E3 surviving past the next 5 years. Nintendo hasn't had a major conference since 2012. Sony is a no-show, now. I get that are still big publishers, but the big three pull a ton of weight.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

PS4: 130 mil (was 100 million) Xbox One: 55 mil (was 50 mil) Switch: 96 million (was 73 million)

3DS: 77 mil (was 73 million)

How so?

On a side note, seems he wasn't happy with the ESAs direction:

I haven't seen one event where I thought Geoff Keighley's presence made it better.  Instead my reaction is normally, "dammit not this guy again".

While I am likewise in the camp of having little interest in Keighley, there's no denying that he is one of the most connected guys in the industry.

Kind of irrelevant to what I was originally saying.  I go back to my original statement.  Him not being there makes E3 better.

If my better you more irrelevant, then sure.

I wouldn't be so certain. E3 could call the industry VIPs next year and ask them for what they want E3 to be and then comeback with the industry back supporting it.

It seems to me that E3 management is trying to change the show without consulting their true partners: the big 3 and publishers.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

Isn't E3 mostly about industry people meeting industry people for business matters? Gamers are just ants allowed to run around.
