Forums - Gaming Discussion - Atlus survey asks fans what games they want ported to Switch

Well Sega/Atlus are disgusted with the recent sales.

SMT IV, please. I'm not going to beg for Persona 5 since I have it on PS4 and if I'm not going to get Royal I would not get a Switch port. Persona 4 Golden would be nice but they have not even put that on PS4. I think a Persona HD collection of 1-4 on PS4/Switch would be great.

No clue how Persona Q and Etrian would work on the switch. Both screens are pretty important and a stylus is a very much must have.

The map-drawing is more of a gimmick and in newer Etrian games you could turn on a lot of automap features. And other similar games with maps worked on Switch already, like Labyrinth of Refrain.

I'd consider buying Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden and Catherine: Full Body should they be ported to Switch.

Signature goes here!

Of that list, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir rings me as a game I'd absolutely love to play on the go with a Switch.
My real most-wanted Atlus game would be Ogre Battle 64 tho, but they are not considering it.

NOT Shin Megami Tensei 4; I just bought it full price on the 3DS and it required me to delete EVERYTHING to fit it. I'd be pissed if it got ported.

I do love it so far though.

If I had to choose it would be the Etrian Odyssey series. Just never got around them.

Where do I vote for sequel to Tactics Ogre Knight of Lodis?

Crickets chirp.

I'm actually curious if you even play Etrian games. Because what you just said is every kind of wrong possible. Like someone that read an article once about the games and that's it.

The automap feature lacks so many of the features you need to play the game.  Treasures, secrets, monster path, type of titles.  Not to mention putting notes on specific tiles. The quests would be nearly impossible without constantly wasting time retracing your steps.

It's easy to add the features to make map drawing unneeded. Still, that is more true for a sequel, a port of sort would you have painting maps in some sort. This could be a dilemma. Placing notes and markers on the map though can work without a stylus (in difference to drawing borders), that can be done with sticks. Breath of the Wild does that on it's map. So I think you have to advance the automapping and add in plaing markers via stick to make a port of Etrian work, but overall the map drawing never was the big thing that got me into the game, so I would not mind if there was less of it.

Who is Jason Schreier and why do we have to listen to him?

I think he's a familiar name to many here since he's been quoted a lot in the past year or so. But he's a journalist with a lot of industry connections, so he often reports on stories before they're made official.

What kind of connections?  Wink wink.

Seriously though Pachter has a lot of connections and that doesn't really make him that wise for what will happen in game industry.  I wonder what he thought of potential switch sales before it was released.   Probably another bad prediction.
