wow, third parties are so stupid and stuck in their ways... I will LOL while nintendo rolls out 5 million seller after 5 million seller, and Dev are all fighting for FPS shooter audience on the PS360.

That's why they are stuck in their ways...

Cleary missing the context. The point was that they could have 5 million sellers, not that Nintendo was magically taking that from them.

They're stuck in their ways because the most successful software developer in the industry has been the biggest software developer in the industry for over 20 years?

I don't even remember 3rd parties succumbing to being pathetic over the years just because they weren't the best. I must be an ambassador from an alternate reality.

this game is getting more popular on ign

Connections for The Conduit (Wii)
    Popular games in this genre:
1. The Conduit (Wii)
2. Unreal Tournament III (X360)
3. Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (PS3)
4. Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (X360)
5. Halo 3 (X360)

2. Mario Kart Wii (Wii)
3. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)
4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
5. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)

Well, popularity on ign is good but popularity on ign wont equate to 300,000 first week sales in the usa (~mp3 sales).  They are gonna need online advertising, tv commercials and a few bill boards would help.  heck, they could pass out cds with free trailers and posters at college campuses.

In case you ddin't notice, he didn't claim that. Also, they don't even have a publisher yet (something else you may not have notices), but this buzz could lead to a publisher getting interest, and the publisher would supply the marketing.

Looks nice and the controls sound great.

You'd think Ubisoft would perhaps publish this, since they have brought some M-rated games to the Wii already. But maybe they don't want to publish a FPS that puts Red Steel to shame...

Red Steel 2 is already confirmed.

This is great news for Wii owners. I'm definitely in the "not a FPS fan" category, but if this ends up being a "good" game (with some multiplayer) I'll probably pick it up to support 'original' titles  on the Wii.

The significant things about this title are:

 - showing what the Wii CAN do technically (with a custom engine, designed for it) - hopefully something that will cause other studios to lift their game as well.

 - an original title in a genre that is definitely stronger on the 360/PS3. Finally, something that can be properly used to compare to the big titles on the bigger consoles.

And if the game is GOOD enough (especially the input/control scheme), it could push some 360/PS3 (fps fans) to pick up a Wii.

You have to wonder how things would go, if Activision gave CoD4 to these guys for a Wii port?

...

Wonder if there are any more of these titles hiding in the shadows?

Look, you guys know I'm a big Wii supporter....
But the fact that you are all citing a new game from the developers of 50 Cent: Bulletproof and Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude as "good third party support" is quite sad.

I can't imagine this being anything more than shovelware. Looks purty though.

they're starving for games, you can't blame them. i agree with your opinion.

I'd be more excited about this game, but the Nintendo fanboys here have brainwashed me into believing that FPS games suck...

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

A game with very good graphics, what sounds like a decent story, controls inspired by Metroid Prime 3 and Medal Of Honor Heroes 2, and an FPS on a console that is lacking in that department makes this a title I will keep my eye on.

This game tech demo looks amazing... I like what the second guy said: "Most Wii games look like crap..."
