Is this worldwide? If so that 1/4 for series X compared to 1/3rd for PS5 is pretty good.

I bought a PS3 because the PS2 was iconic, I didn't want to pay to play online and I didn't like the fragility of Xbox 360s. (Not just RROD, But you couldn't hold them in certain ways, or move them when it was on etc, all of which weren't a problem on PS3's.) I also wasn't a big shooter fan and the main 360 exclusives were shooters, PS3 had more variety.

I bought PS4 because the console was designed way better, cheaper and more powerful, I knew the support for games would be great all the way until the last year. (PS3's last year in 2013 got Last of us, God of War: Ascension, Beyond 2 Souls, GT6 and more, Xbox 360 had 0 exclusives in it's final year) This trend only continued in this gen as Xbox One had far fewer quality exclusives and Sony absolutely killed it with games this gen.

Next gen is a little different, Due to me moving more to PC gaming as my PC is definitely more capable than both of the new consoles will be, if I do buy a PS5 (which I probably will, maybe not straight away) It will be for exclusives alone, as any Xbox game will come out on PC I will be able to play it there.

There has been whispers of Horizon and other games potentially coming to PC, so if Sony release all their Exclusives onto PC I will not be buying a console next generation, or if it happens whilst I have a PS5 I'll likely sell it.

Game Pass made me a fan all over again. I beat about 20 games on that service in 2019 that I wouldn’t have bought outright. Discovered gems like Hellblade through GP.

With the day 1 exclusive perk, MS has me for the foreseeable future. It’s the best deal in gaming imo. Plus I love Halo :)

Well believable or not they put much effort on researching.   Or else you can disprove with new formula and data with more scientific method it will be helpful .   

Honestly, most surveys of this kind are methodologically questionable and mostly just done to generate headlines and clicks.

They can be fun, but don't tell us much in terms of reliable concrete information.

It actually had games though. It sold in spite of it...people made the choice to rebuy. 

Until MGS4, PS3 was overpriced, PSN was notably lacking, and top rated exclusives in 2006-2007 had nothing on 360s. It coasted on PS2 brand power, which was notably, pretty huge.

But I knew multiple people that bought 2/3 Xbox 360's due to hardware failures, so they could be a lil inflated. 

Also it was the only option due to being out for an entire year ebfore PS3/Wii, it got a good bit of word of mouth to start too.

The only reason I got into Nintendo in 1988 was because Atari lost all of their luster.

The only reason I ever got into PlayStation was because the N64 didn't have anything worth playing that I didn't already own in 1997.

The only reason I ever got into Sega was because the PS2 was impossible to find in the year 2000.

The only reason I got into Xbox in 2007 was because PS1 and PS2 broke all the damn time and I didn't want to spend $600 on a company that had a history of being defective (little did I know...).

But in every instance that I tried a new company, I was blown away by his awesome the hardware and library was. From that point on, I bought everything they made.

Probably globally in USA only. Xbox doesn't exist outside USA and UK. I was talking about Xbox to some people in France, and they were thinking I was talking about a Live Box or something.

And no need to be a genius to know that FFVII Remake got the most loyal fan for any game ever.
