I don't feel game being 720p or 900p on X1 means it got a shockingly bad port or whatever. You argument is irrelevant given I wasn't denying PS4 versions generally look better.

I never said the ports were bad. Clearly they are making the most use of the limited resources of the Xbox One.
It's just... Every other platform (Playstation 4, Playstation 4 Pro, PC) is superior on the visuals front, which is par-the course all generation long.

The other issue is that many games on the base Playstation 4 (Like those I listed prior) are better than the Xbox One variant operating on the Xbox One X, despite it's superior hardware.

It is what it is, that is the downside of releasing iterative updated hardware mid-console cycle... And I will provide both Nintendo and Sony the same criticism for the same reasons as well, I don't have a console bias remember.

Mr Puggsly said:

PS4 speca are in fact a step up given we've seen that in practice. I said if PS4 can handle Cyberpunk, then the X1 version will be fine given what we've seen in practice.

Clearly not if they are struggling to make a proper Xbox One version.

Mr Puggsly said:

The X1X is not a X1. There is a vast disparity in specs. While they support the same games, the X1X does things the X1 can't duplicate due to the vast disparity.

The Xbox One X is an Xbox One. It even has "Xbox One" in it's title/branding, you can't pretend it's anything other than an Xbox One.

The Xbox One X does things the Xbox One cannot do, that is not even up for debate. - But that means bugger all, it's still an Xbox One. - Otherwise why are we bothering to call the Xbox One X an Xbox One at all?

Mr Puggsly said:

You didn't buy the X1X because it has the same capabilities.

Correct. But that doesn't change the fact that the Xbox One X is built from the same hardware base as the Xbox One, has an identical software stack and operates the *exact* same games library and is.... *Drumroll* Advertised as an Xbox One by Microsoft.

Either way, I feel like this discussion isn't really progressing anywhere at the moment.

My mistake, when you said "shocking ports," that could clearly be interpreted as good. You meant the X1 has shockingly good ports in spite of less power.

Somehow you've moved this part of the discussion from Cyberpunk on X1... to 720p games on X1X. I'm just gonna move on.

Are they struggling to put Cyberpunk on X1? I am skeptical if the PS4 version has gone smoothly. Maybe every delay is due to X1, even the Sony exclusive delays. Delays weren't a thing until X1.

If I bought a Xbox One X, but received a Xbox One, I'd be pretty fucking pissed. I don't think I'd be content with hearing, "they both have Xbox One in the title."

On a side note my 2DS isn't a 3DS. I don't care if plays 3DS games, it's still a 2DS.

So Switch and Switch Lite are not the same thing then?

So Switch and Switch Lite are not the same thing then?

If they are the same then why does the Switch Lite exist? The Lite is even $100 cheaper.

I think it makes more sense to compare a DS and DS Lite given I can't think of features that really distinguishes them. Mostly shape, weight and perhaps battery.

PS4 and PS4 Slim are virtually the same in features. X1, X1S, X1X and X1SAD on the otherhand actually differ in features, there are significant reasons why people may choose a certain model.

The level of reach achieved to make this post is outstanding. You really don't have an argument but you still refuse to back down.

Let me put it this way. I feel saying X1 and X1X are the same is like comparing a $199 and $399 video card.

Even if they play the exact same content, they certainly aren't the same as one should have greater capabilities.

I don't feel I am reaching at all, maybe its just a difference in perspective.

Radeon 5700 and Radeon 5700XT:

Both are Radeon 5700 Series models. One is more capable than the other, but both are undoubtedly Radeon 5700's.

Xbox One and Xbox One X:

Both are Xbox One Series consoles. One (X) is more capable than the other, but both are undoubtedly Xbox One's.

Their differences make them different products, otherwise everybody would just buy the cheaper model. Assuming it truly was the same.

I bought a X1X because its not the same. It plays the same library, but I didn't pay more to get just the same visuals, performance, load times, etc.

Are HDDs and SDDs the same because they load the same data? Obviously not. Does this really sound like reaching? Seems totally valid to me.

I don't think anyone is arguing that there is a performance and/or price difference. That's pretty clear.

HDD's are magnetic spinning platters and SSD's are electric semiconducting chips. I think you mean more like a Samsung 970 EVO 500GB SSD vs a Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 2000GB SSD. Both would be part of the 970 EVO line of products, just one is an upgrade with better performance and more storage, at a higher price.

Xbox One X is an Xbox One product, just an upgrade with better performance at a higher price.

I agree they are all Xbox One products. I just don't see the X1, X1S, X1X and X1SAD as the SAME product.

I don't wanna drag this on but different models also offer different features. Like 4K Bluray support to no disc support at all.
