For those interested, metro redux is officially up for preorder on the eShop.

Nice, but sadly I already own them on PC. Still, more games are always good.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Generally not a fan of last gen ports to Switch, but here I have to give props to the dev for handling the conversion in house, (which means it's not taking up the time of a studio like Panic Button, Saber, or Virtuos) fitting both games on the card with no mandatory download, and including gyro aiming for those who like it.

Oh for real? Only saw it on the eShop. Didnt researxh it at all. Might take it over doom if doom requires a downlaod for the atory again.

Why would they announce like this and not in a direct if there is going to be a direct soon? Now I'm doubtful we will get one at the end of this month... Unless it's so loaded they don't have time for a AAA last gen port?

Apparently games from Koch Media (THQ Nordic, Deep Silver, etc) are never featured in directs but always in their own reveals for some reason.

If I recall, same thing happened last year. Ppl expected a direct, a couple games came up on the e Shop, then they were noted in a february direct.  Think nintendo are soing  a direct ever4 months now instead of 3.

I'm excited for it. I hope it's a good conversion. Who is handling the port?

4A, the studio behind the Metro games, are doing the port themselves in-house.

It's a bit strange. Does anybody know why? Want THQ do this themself or has Nintendo bad relations with them?

Anyways, I want to give a shoutout to THQ Nordic (and Koch Media and what else is part of THQ), because they do outstandig support of the Switch. I mean nothing is a top AAA, but that is THQ in their completeness. But what they have as IPs are mostly dropped on Switch: Darksiders (1+2), Red Faction, Titan Quest, Battle Chasers, This is the Police (1+2), de Blob (1+2), Saints Row, all the 'Secret Files: ...' games, Townsmen, Giana Sisters and a lot more. These are major parts of their whole list of IPs.
