Consoles are easier to manage and don't have as many online cheaters as PC.

I find gaming on PC like going to a restaurant and being served food that you have to deconstruct or assemble yourself. Like shell on prawns or fajitas. By the time you are finished, your appetite is gone.

Sometimes you just want to pay for something and have the experience dictated to you. No setup, no tweaking, no bug troubleshooting.

Steam / Origin / Uplay / EGS / GOG / Windows Store...

1. select interesting game

2. buy game

3. download game (automatic install once the download is finished, patches get installed automatic)

4. start game

PSStore / Xbox Marketplace / Nintendo eShop:

1. select interesting game

2. buy game

3. download game (automatic install once the download is finished, patches get installed automatic)

4. start game

PS / Xbox retail game:

1. select interesting game

2. buy game

3. open package

4. insert disc (automatic install, patches get installed automatic)

5. start game

Yeah, it is totally different and much more complicated on PC.

Exactly. If the cazualz can do it on their phone, there's no reason the hardcorze can't manage it on PC.

PC gaming is as simple as connecting blutooth earphones to your phone.

Yeah, I probably would. I enjoy the simplicity of a console OS and media that still (mostly) comes on a physical medium so that I'm not forced to use up storage space for a game I want to plop in occasionally.

I used to say no to this, but I'm not sure anymore. I've gotten to the point where I'd rather relax on a couch looking at a large tv than looking at a monitor in a chair. My current setup has an HDMI cable connecting my Samsung smart TV to my desktop to act as a second monitor. But I've been having issues:

-Games don't seem to want to function in Windows mode blown up on the TV. When I run in normal mode I can't drag it to the TV. In Windows mode I can but as soon as I blow it up the TV stops it's connection to the PC until I close the game down.
-Wireless HDMI is laggy and I hate it.
-Steam Link is laggy and I hate it.
-With a wired connection Some weird horizontal blur line is visible constantly and anytime I'm in intense action scenes it blacks out every ten seconds or so randomly.
-Changing the sound settings Everytime I change what I'm on is annoying.
-I can't get the games to go to 4k even though my TV is, because my monitor is 1920x1200.

Because of all this I may find it more convenient to simply have a console next gen.

Actually, after a bit of thought to this, I'd say no. I'd rather just have both consoles and not have all the hardware handled and stable in a box. I don't want to have to upgrade midgen because they decide the PC specs need to be higher as with most MS PC games and at the end of the day, as much as I want to do two consoles next gen, I just don't think I'll be able to hack it and end up playing less games as a result, so i don't need the two systems games. Sony will have to fuck up something awful at this point, which it often looks as if they are in a decline, alas Xbox is fucking up so much more than them every single, damn time. So no, I'm too old and I couldn't possibly get more free time as it is almost all at my finger tips as is when managed properly so I'm a one box man from here til my grave with maybe a switch if they ever let us back up saves onto some form of physical storage or do free cloud saves.

PCs don't have generations like consoles do, so the whole having to upgrade midgen because someone decided PC specs needed to be higher doesn't make sense.  Every single year, there's newer and better tech coming out.  If your PC is so outdated that it can't run the latest games, then it's probably over 8 years old, at least, anyway.

And most gaming PCs are pretty low spec as it is.  1060s, or 1070s are as about as average as it gets, and neither of those cards are very good at all, as I wouldn't personally own anything less than a 1080 Ti.

The main reason consoles do so well is because of misinformation, and a lack of cross play.  I still hear people say they don't want PCs because they want to use a controller and play on their TVs.  No cross play means whatever your friends get, you get too.  It wont be next gen, but the one after that, will have cross play for everything, and everything playable across everything.  We'll have halo on PS6, and God of War on Xbox... and PC.

Well considering the fact that exclusives are the only reason i pay attention to consoles, i would say no.

The only thing i dislike about PC is the lack of controller support for certain games and also not being able to navigate through everything without a mouse and keyboard. i mean there are some programs that let you work around this but at the end of the day it still feels very clunky and inconvenient, and i'm not a fan of using keyboard and mouse to play games. I just feel far more comfortable using a controller.

But really that's the only real con of PC for me. Aside from that everything is just better. You don't have to pay to play online, you can use mods, you have the OPTION to adjust graphics and performance. You can use emulators for backwards compatibility and don't have to worry about it not being a feature in a new console. There's just so much more freedom when it comes to gaming on PC, that without the games there's not much reason for me to buy a console. I'd much prefer to buy one gaming machine rather than paying $300+ dollars for 2 or 3 different consoles + the online suscription.

Because why wasted playing 2080 ti on Danganronpa or Persona 5 that can run even on PS3??? That big wasted teraflop on your PC

You can ofcourse,  but why wasted on expensives setup while you have consoles or already have one and use that ??????  And strategy games are great on PC especially if there are a lot of multiplayer people and required a lot of graphic. Games like Total War is heavy emphasis on thousand of unit. MMO required beefy spec if you play modern one .

It's just that's my way of gaming. Even some people have handled to play JRPG alone or playing classical alone.

Or are you complaining about people habit ?

Because why the hell would you limit yourself to a low budget card just to play one type of game?.

Did you think because I bought a 1080ti, that I'd only play just "AAA" games?. No, I bought it because I was going for a res upgrade and wanted to play various games, not just one type of game that "pushes" the pixels. I also love the modding scene, which can make use of my hw in various ways, so in essence, my upgrades were for various reasons, not just stupid ones like 8k 60fps bs, that makes no sense in the current timeframe.

Also, for the love of fucking god, will you lot stop blabbering on about "teraflop this, integer that", as if you actually know what they actually and truly mean, because each time this happens, Pem has to step in with ye old "lemme educate you lot" book. It's fucking dumb and hella stupid. It'd be like me using back to the future refs in order to make me sound intelligent. Just say "it's a waste of GPU power or "waste of money", instead, it sounds less than stupid when seeing flops being tossed around like an idort.

Also no, it's not a waste of money, because I use it for various games and reasons, like rendering and rigging for example, as well as video editing (Since I force my GPU to render, rather than having my CPU do all the work). I don't use consoles as a primary form of gaming because they offer me less of what I want. I want modding, high performance, the resolution I want, without having to muddle around different TV's. I use my 144hz 1440p monitor and it does me just dandy for what I want, even swivels to the side to for reading documents/manga, which TV's do not do.

Strat and sim games also rely a lot more on CPU's, which is again, why I prefer using my desktop, because it actually has the power for allowing more AI to be displayed/function.

Your way of gaming is specifically hw related, while mine is more focused on individual parts and what I want from them. You want whole boxes, whole objects to be solid locked to one task, while I want a myriad of parts to do multiple things, which is why I chose PC as my go to in the first place.

No I'm not complaining about other's habits. I was taking issue with your previous comment on those wanting to game just on PC as being cited as "elitist", which isn't really a thing at all.

Well my answer is simple , i don't want to run 400 watt TDP GPU only to play 2D and and yes i will calle it 13 teraflop of GPu. Yes 13 teraflop, like it or not you need to accept teraflop is still exist.

Also for small factor and form factor, i prefer putting my small, simple PS4 and slime PS4 in front of TV rather than my PC desktop. Which is very loud and generate a lot of Heat. I also use to play with my friend local gaming with my cousin. I dont want to bring PC also it has many work and job related content that i dont want to share to my family. And keeping in side my room.
