Forums - Gaming Discussion - If all PlayStation/Xbox games were on PC day 1, would you still buy a console?

If console exclusives disappeared, would you still buy a console?

Yes, consoles still have benefits 85 65.89%

No, there'd be no point in having a console 44 34.11%

I'd buy the base PS console after a few years, maybe the slim version, assuming the games are cross platform at that point.

I'd then instantly upgrade my PC and it would become my main gaming hardware for all games period.

Not for streaming though. Downloadable games at the very least.

Im a xbox player, majority of games are in PC, I prefer to play in my living room and work and PC.
So, i still buy a console .

Even without their games, I still don't want to buy another console.

My job requires me to work on 3 PCs. Gaming on a console helps me feel like I'm not still working.

Thats one of my reasons too.

I'd still play on consoles.

Yes. I need the convenience of a console in my life. I honestly cbf with a PC.

I just want to put the game in and play.

I already find little reason to go for them these days, and PC is my main system with the Switch on the side and the PS4 in the living room (gathering dust), so I've little reason to really go for consoles as much going forward, as I buy so little for them. I'm more of a performance/modding kind of guy, so I do that on PC, as that's the platform that offers me exactly what I desire from gaming. Exclusives hardly offer me that much of an enticement to grab a system these days anyway.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Im not a fan of fictional dystopias, but id probably still buy one for convenience.

I've always preferred console gaming to PC gaming. It's a lot more convenient, comfortable and economical. Back when I was into PC gaming it was because of the PC exclusives (yes they used to have a lot of those). PC used to have a ton of great games only available on a PC. Nowadays its rare I get a PC game though. If there is a game I'm interested in I can usually wait and it will come to console.

My main problems with consoles nowadays is that they are becoming too much like a PC. I prefer having my game being complete in box without any extra downloads or patches. Those are the sorts of things that makes console gaming kind of suck. I want easy and convenient gaming. That is why I like consoles.
