Dude, it's right there in the post you quoted. This isn't about not liking an adition. I was indifferent to many dlc characters over the years but still recognize them as nice aditions to the roster. Byleth actively pisses me because it adds nothing. It's the 6th/8th character out of a small franchise from nintendo (way too much). Thus why I already said it would be fine if Byleth came in place of an existing FE character on smash 6. |
Except Sakurai doesn't think future tense. He doesn't know if a Smash 6 (or 7 based on how he determined it as he counts 3DS and Wii U as separate games due their respective development process). He made the final call after Nintendo gave him the list of characters to choose from.
