Forums - Gaming Discussion - Last Of Us Game Of The Decade - According To Metacritic Users

The user score list. Or the most useless list ever. I'd rather believe the other list, which has the right game on top.

The game was fine. Decent enough in my opinion. Didn't get me gripped like other games over the last decade however.

Hmm, pie.

People critizing TLOU gameplay. Guys, TLOU is not meant to be 100% stealth all the time. If you're playing obessionally like this you're a making a disservice to yourself. The game also is not meant to be played on normal or easier because it's meant to be challenging. In normal everything is too easy and it doesn't show the greatness of the gameplay. TLOU was meant to play like how they showed in that E3 2012 demo, or like they showed TLOU 2 in E3 2018. It's meant to be played with a mix of stealth and survival action where you are inevitably exposed and you have to improvise in real time to win the fight. It's when the gameplay becomes a more realistic RE4 style town at the beginning gameplay. You have to use the very few bullets, items, you have while running, hiding, and punching people in excellent designed areas where you have to think what to do next.

There are games that harder difficulty crashes the gameplay and make them less fun like Uncharted, The Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn or recently Jedi Fallen Order, and then, there are other games like Bloodborne, God of War, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter World and yes, TLOU, that higher difficulty levels improve vastly the experience of the gameplay.

I won't agree ever with people saying TLOU has bad gameplay. In my experience, people that say that just didn't played the game like it was meant to be experienced in my opinion. And I know, I know, everyone plays like he/she wants, but every game has an ideal way of play them.

This thread. Oh, boy.

I'm 28 and I think I'm getting too old for these silly console wars.

Play it on Survivor if you want a harder game.

Also play the online, it's REALLY good too and a lot of fun.

I have seen a guy becoming the last survivor of our team and killing all 4 opposing team members, it was incredible. My record was 2.

I almost like TLOU multiplayer as much as the singleplayer. The combination of a great sp AND mp is what makes the game one of my personal GotG.

You should check out the 1 vs. 17 comeback from the Danish player Hr. Aasted. It's insane

Zelda was number 2 on this Useless list, Are you saying Zelda is not worthy of being one of the absolute best games of the decade

In the other list which you believe. TLOU is a very respectable number 2, So you believe TLOU is a brilliant game..

Face it both were superb games

I just beat The Last of Us today! With that being said, I don't think it deserves it. It's a good game, but not game of the decade material.

I agree with this. The SP was entertaining but the gameplay was way too meh for it to be best of the decade worthy. The MP was incredible, one of the best ever, until ND ruined it with microtransaction greed. But overall it's a very solid if not predictable list.

I can't really argue with the list. It's obviously not the same as mine would be, but that's always going to be the case in lists like this, and I can't say that any one of the games doesn't deserve to be there.

It's impressive but the opponents were mostly throwing themselves at him, whereas in the Survivors mode you are forced to play stealthy because of a single life, I would say the 1 vs 4 that I saw was more impressive than this 1 vs 17

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.
