Damn, how do I always miss out on these polls?
But yeah, my choice would have gone to The last of Us as well. Solid list, can't really argue with it.
But man, RE2 should have been in there. Honestly, I think I actually prefer it over The Last of Us. As a game, for sure, but it's hard to top TloU's overall experience when you play it for the first time. That feeling you get is priceless!

That top 9 in no particular order could have been my top list too, although i agree with TLOU as #1. I only would changed Super Mario Galaxy 2 instead of Dark Souls, but you know, this list is too mainstream or not indie/japanese/Nintendo related enough so a lot of people are going to disminish it and attack the legitimate opinions of just 2k people that voted in that poll, when in reality those top 10 games are usually the most popular in every poll made during the last decade. In my opinion, this top 10 is one of the very few that really represent the most popular/liked games of last decade.

Yup pretty much this. Metacritic is plagued by fanboys and it has always been a popularity contest.
