Please read through this thread and get a sense of the pain http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=239658&page=1 then reconsider playing this game since you fqiled to succeed at bloodborne, this game is ten fold more difficult unless you have the reflexes of a 15 year old. I love difficult games, I've spent 8 hour stretches on the same bosses for some platinums and still not succeeded but this game almost broke me and I'm not even talking game wise, it made me loose my cool in ways I havn't since I was a teenager. Actual pain. No hyperbole. Utter pain because of the difficulty level.

That said, even though there are large walls where you smash your head repeatdly for hours at a time, the game is fucking amaxing. At the very least read the thread and DONT follow the same path I did, take the easier path on your first run and don't be bothered with certain end game side bosses.

Just a humble brag :P, but the second time I played I coudn´t believe that I managed to beat the

Owl boss in the Hirata Estate memory

without dying a single time, and I consider that motherfucker the hardest boss in the game...it just "clicked" perfectly, and it´s one of the main reasons I like these kind of games From makes. You´ll get angry, maybe for a second even feel tempted to throw your controller in anger, but when this shit clicks, it really clicks.

I'd highly recommend to put the boss name under spoiler tag as it is a huge spoiler to the game's story, but I totally agree on this one. I also found him to be the most difficult boss in the game and the toughest among the three bosses which you can fight at the end of the game.

I didnt have a good time with this game because I felt its gives fewer options with its gameplay than any other FromSoft game and I always have problems with rigid gameplay, however I do have to acknowledge it has a ton of virtues and when I enjoyed it, I enjoyed it a lot. Hope the experience is better for you than it was for me.

I played for an hour or so, got a bit after the part where you get the grappling hook. I enjoy the game so far, the atmosphere is much more intriguing than anything I saw in DS or BB. The scene where you exit a cave into a field where you see a giant samurai was incredibly good.

I’m sure the game will kick my ass but I intend to finish it.

You beat the disappearing bastard in that tiny, tight room with the camera issues and his teleoprting moves on you second go... I'm just gonna go over to the corner now and have a little cry from the memory of that fight.

Actually, the attack when he disappears is really easy to avoid if you keep running in circles. This bastard is tough because he has lots of quick attacks and combos which break your posture pretty easily. And yeah, the worst thing is that it is the only boss against which mikiri counter is completely useless.

Got my ass kicked like 10 times by the chained ogre before I realized you can teleport back to the old man and place the bell at the statue and move the game forward. Guess I'll come back to him when my attacks do more damage. I could almost kill him but I'm so weak and one throw kills me.

Yeah I figured but I have no fire. There are fire stands around but idk if you can use them somehow.

Did you get the bell to access a new area?...keep exploring that new area, you´ll see.

Nope. In the 2nd phase of his fight he flies around as the literal owl, and does a lunging stab attack that is perfect for Mikiri counters.
