No one innovates like Nintendo!  Not only did they steal their logo from a pizza company - but they took the pizza boxes as well, repackaged them and sold them back to their own fan base for $80 a pop... LEGEND!

It seems I'm not the only one thinking "a conference just to announce a logo, WTF?".

Poor Xbox fans that got so little out of the Game Awards (only the ACTUAL reveal of the Series X) whereas we got a FULL LOGO, OMFG!!!!!

It was a 30 minute conference only 7 minutes of which was about PlayStation. CES is not an event for gamers.

Neither is the Oscars show, the MTV Awards show or any White House briefing but you don't see Sony announcing their logo there...

Anyway all I'm saying here is I'm not the only one thinking this way as that video demonstrates in a rather funny way. It's just a response to those who seem to imply that I'm the only one who thinks this logo reveal was not the proper response or the proper com. So yeah, I'm clearly not the only one.

The reaction this news is getting from lovers to haters only prove that PLAYSTATION, as a brand is the most important gaming brand in the world. Nothing generates such a reaction like "Playstation", not even Nintendo.

Playstation, for millions of people doesn't mean just Sony games, it means GAMING, in general, just that. Playstation has been the main platform for video gaming for millions around the world the last 25 years. The fact that Playstation consoles represent a jump in technology each time a new one comes, helps to elevate the hype for a new console to unsustainable heights.

PS1 and PS2 did not have social media/internet hype because it didn't existed yet. PS3 had a bad mojo since the beginning and Wii/X360 had way better word of mouth than PS3. PS4 hype was inmense and yet it was a succesor of a console that heavily disappointed in USA in sales terms and popularity.

But now....here we are, in 2020, with social media at full power, coming from the most succesful home console ever, with Playstation brand more popular than ever, with Sony 1st party games more popular than ever, ..... PS5 is simply just destined to crush everything around it. The hype around the console through 2020 is going to be like nothing we ever seen. The moment Sony announce the day they present the PS5 to the world with its first few games, we all will notice how big Playstation brand in fact is.....

Be prepared people...There's going to be a lot of ridiculous hype from fans, petty system wars, and lots of speculation and haters everywhere....With luck, everything will be worthy because there will be tons of fantastic gifs in anticipation like when PS4 was about to launch. Let's hope so...XD.

Indeed,people just need to know what the product is and that's all,why should it be creative if it can lose recognition by doing so?

That would really be useless.

If MS really has a 3TF advantage they'd be shouting it from the roof tops. 

Take a good breath, relax yourself and come back to your senses. It's just a logo. If people think it's unoriginal, then let them have their opinion. If people love the logo, same goes. You don't need to make a case for your extreme love of Playstation
