Too bad the Switch missed the 50M mark, though not by much. And kudos to overtake the SNES in less than 3 years, that's some serious feat!

SNES is now passed NES is next January's update on shipments should give a good idea of when the NES will be caught.

If it makes you feel better these numbers are to Dec 28, so it probably did cross 50 million by Jan 1.

Thanks for the numbers. That was fast!

Switch passed the SNES, but I was expecting it to hit 50 million by this update. Nevertheless, it's doing great.

Based on the new globals Switch needs 12.1m to meet the next milestone while the possible shipments I'm going to have a guess at it being at 52m shipped.

I thought japan numbers would only come next week.

Just missed 50M. But still, it passed the SNES before the end of the year, nice. 2020 should be a huge year for Switch.

Are you guys sure that the XB1 is outselling the PS4 in the US atm?
Judgeing by the amazon threads, you wouldnt think so.
