I really hope Infinite isn't a big open world .

How come? Over the open world craze?

When I think of halo I dont think of an open world game. I dont mind big areas like in Halo CE or Halo 4. I also dont trust 343i to have enough content for an open world.

Honestly I dont want MS to acquire Bungie. I want more Destiny games and I feel like if MS acquired them they'd make a new IP.

When it comes to a shooter, set in an open world, the issue isn't so much content - you run around a shoot stuff - but pacing. How big are the gaps between fights? Does the design of the world promote different types of engagement? Is the need for all this space tied to the narrative, and gameplay elements, or is it just there to be pretty and make the game longer?

They're already making a new IP with Netease.

While working on Destiny 3. I feel like the Destiny IP could be abandoned under Xbox. But maybe not since Phil likes Destiny.

Time to break some hearts.

That actually surprises me and makes me think other larger acquisitions are on the table...

God this sucks so bad, at least I hope that they bring their self published titles to Xbox.

If MS were seriously considering them then Cyberconnect are now a real possibility, they have been wanting to make original IP for a while now.

Platinum didn't wanted to get acquired they wanted an investment but still have 'freedom' MS/Sony/Nintendo (probably) only want to invest if their games are only for the Xbox/Playstation/Switch

Man, my assumptions on Plague Tale were all wrong. I was under the impression it was a game about taking care of your little brother, during a time of plague, that just happened to feature lots of rats. Turns out, it's actually a game about demon rats, that just so happens to feature people, some of whom were sick for a bit before said demon rats came and proceeded to take over the world.

Da fuq? Makes me even more interested.

Microsoft needs to keep a close eye on Asobo.

Game takes a weird ass turn in the back end lol

Bungie under Xbox again would be interesting, I’d expect 343 to keep doing the mainline games but it would be cool to see them potentially dabble in some spinoffs.

The investment by Tencent is for how long? Did they buy a stake in Platinum, Or are they only funding a couple of titles?
