Toy car game subbed for one of the original Xbox’s new IPs that I never played? Sign me up :)

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

The more I play Bleeding Edge the more I like it. More often than not, randoms actually have an idea how to play as a team so matches are more tactical and fun.

I think overall the characters are balanced well and NT shouldn't rush to tweak them.

For example, I read people find Buttercup to be OP but I don't agree. Her yank+oil combo is easy to escape from if you keep an eye on your stamina and dodge. And she's easily countered with Nidhöggr, who's deadly against any tank and my favourite dps character. His Ride the Lightning skill is a game changer if used with teamwork.

You can also dodge Maeve's cage if you pay attention and she's easily damaged and forced to escape. Maeve is very good but wouldn't call her OP.

El Bastardo is the best tank imo. My brother plays him well and he finished many games with plenty of kills and zero deaths. He deals good damage while protecting teammates. We even won 4v2 and 3v2 situations with well-timed ultimate abilities by Nidhöggr and Bastardo.

While Bleeding Edge is more about teamwork, individual skill is also more important than I initially thought. It's about good use of skills and dodge and situational awareness. If they boost stamina regeneration they lower the skill-cap imo so I hope they won't do it.

It’s a good game, I have shit luck with teammates though.

Bastardo is annoying as fuck. He’s incredibly hard to kill even without a healer helping him. My main problem with the game is that it’s too easy to escape fights. Bastardo for example can pounce away and then it’s impossible to catch him. A lot of people run away from fights and there’s no catching them. I think the squishier fighters need stamina boosts.

Should keep them at that price, then go lower when Lockhart releases.

When the Series S and Series X release, MS shouldn't even stock One S and One X anymore. They'll be redundant in every way, and only serve to confuse customers.

Lol at 10:50 when Phil is talking about the price of Series X he says "Launch of the Consoles" 🤔

Lockheart is about as well kept a secret as Fable.

Heh another poster here thought it's too hard to escape fights.

There are characters who are good at escaping, others have abilities suited for catching. In any case, usually it's not even worth it to chase players but randoms tend to do it anyway even if it's tactically stupid. Many times it's enough to make them escape and keep characters like ZeroCool, Bastardo and Buttercup away from fights. Then rest of enemies are vulnerable.

Maybe we (VGChartz) should do something similar. Just gotta get publishers and developers on board to announce stuff on our site 😉

Thats a really good idea.

Also kudos to IGN for putting this together.

Ryu's already doing something similar. In fact, it's gonna be basically identical to the IGN thing, except he's gonna post it all here about 1 minute later than they post it.

Why did you list Pc as something separate? PC is Microsoft. Their storefront comes with every PC and their games release on Steam now.
Even PlayStation gamers who bought Minecraft, Hellblade, Outer Worlds, and who will buy Wasteland 3, Minecraft Dungeons and Psychonauts 2 are doing gods work in my opinion :) Same goes for Switch players buying Hellblade or Ori.

Case in point you don’t need a Xbox to support Xbox. Even when you avoid the console millions of gamers give their time.

That’s why I think MS will release a dedicated Xcloud box sometime in the next few years. Very cheap, much like Chromecast and how it’s used for Stadia to stream on TV. It’s gonna crack the markets that don’t want to buy a Xbox console. Game Pass will be paired with it and as long as it has notable 3rd party Japanese content that should suffice, until MS somehow gets exclusive content.

Hmm, no, it is not. If we take recently released games like Doom Eternal or Resident Evil 3, MS gets nothing from these games on PC. Just like with 99% other PC games. So, your point is completely invalid.

Still can mean just "Series X" consoles

Mic drop moment but also would be a massive loss

He has Satya and Amy's support but how far is that support willing to go I wonder, Phil said to Satya if they want to be a success they need to go all in and Xbox is lucky in that, any losses it makes would be barely noticeable in comparison to what Microsoft makes overall.

Is PS5 is $499 at launch, Microsoft will easily match that. If PS5 is $399, with the support of Amy and Satya I bet Microsoft is will to take the heavy loss and still price match. 1 year of Game Pass Ultimate is $180 and multiply that by the number of years someone will game on it and bam. More than enough to cover the differences and make a profit.

The only problem here is that I think it's quite obvious that Sony as a market leader will force Microsoft into announcing price first. When MS announces Series X price there is no turning back. They won't be able to come out and say "We've decided to cut 100$ just because PS5 is 100$ cheaper" after that. So, IMO, the best thing they can do is to come out with 399$ at E3 because I don't see any way for Sony to sell PS5 cheaper than that. That's the minimum for both companies.
