Forums - General Discussion - What are your New Year's resolutions?

- Start brushing at night in addition to mornings - rather than once a day which is usually in the mornings - and flossing once per week at least (funny I thought I'd be alone in this resolution ha). A few of my teeth are starting to look, erm, not outstanding, and it's been awhile since I've been to the dentist.
- get back to the gym and lose 30 pounds (I've done it before so I know I'm capable of it), regain some muscle
- submit my animated short I made back in 2014 again (submitted it to my local film festival and was nominated for best animation though didn't win. Some like semi-professional studio of like 30 people beat me though I'm pretty sure I probably was the second choice given the other works nominated heh)
- just generally get out of my comfort zone a bit. This could mean everything from jogging to going out to a bar (even alone) and chatting up a couple of people
- take a class or two
- I'd honestly like to start volunteering at the soup kitchen or something, though I'd like to make sure I can free up enough time and get my own finances in order a bit more first.
- start getting to bed earlier and getting up earlier - and be relatively consistent (again, same as you heh)
- Try to put myself out there when it comes to the dating scene. This means getting active again on okcupid but again, could just entail going to a bar or library, or starting to go out a bit more with friends again and increasing my opportunities
- Build some more savings
- Cut back on boozing, and take several weeks (and maybe even a few months) off completely
- Finish my copywriting course and hopefully land a job in the field (on top of my job as a games journalist) by the end of the year
- Burn through a good chunk of my gaming backlog and cease purchasing new games (review copies excluded) for the majority of the year
- Just generally have more of a positive attitude/outlook, smile more
- Eat healthier and take more care of myself physically and mentally

Yeah, quite a bit to deal with, though I consider this more of a 5 year plan than tackling all of this completely in one year lol

Around the Network

I'm going to more aggressively pitch my sitcom, which is just like every other sitcom, but people take off their shoes, to as many connections as possible.

...to try and follow through with my previous new year's resolution xD

-Try to work out more
-Finish my last semester at uni on a strong note and graduate
-Clean up my backlog

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Let's see...

#1: Continue avoiding humans as much as possible in real life.

#2: Continue having my own opinions and not buying into human culture brainwashing or doing what humans consider appropriate.

#3: Continue rooting for climate change and the destruction of mankind.

#4: Hoping that said climate change speeds up a little cause boy isn't this end of the world thing a bit too slow? I'd love to see "results" before I die of old age.

#5: Continue loving video games (One of the very few things human did well, not a redeeming quality though.)

#6: Continue being a couch potato watching Youtube, Netflix and maybe Disney+, I don't know, we'll see...

#7: Continue not working meaning not being a slave owned by some company, meaning the 24h of the day are mine and mine alone to do whatever the fuck I want.

#8: Continue not having a wife or kids (Obviously when one fully understand the meaning of resolution #2)

I guess that's all off the top of my head. I must say, making new year's resolutions is fun
