I bet we'll be seeing adjustments in the next few weeks.

Switch has a real shot at outselling everything else combined for the full year.

NSW-19.2 million
PS4+XBO+3DS-19.5 million

Adjustments almost always happen this time of year. That is the main reason myself and the rest of the sales team decided to label our figures as estimates when we took over the work from ioi.

I'm aware of the holidays difficulty of tracking. That's why I bet on adjustments coming. That and some numbers look fishy.

Unless Famitsu somehow keeps tracking PlayStation Vita sales in Japan in 2020, we will be dropping tracking the PlayStation Vita at the start of the new year.

Might as well cut it regardless, the front page only tracks to the first decimal place and it wont sell enough to change it.

On top of that, the platform total page has a different number than the front page so it's not like we really care about accuracy for Vita anyway.

Which of the numbers looks fishy?

I think the switch numbers are too low for this and last week. The other weeks seem about right. Other systems are harder to guess so we can only wait for official announcements.

edit: I assume the week ending january 4 will be week 1 2020. Right?

I am not sure why the platform totals page differs. They should be the same, but aren't. My best guess is if there are significant adjustments down it messes with the total on that page. The total number I post in the breakdown article is grabbed off of VGC Pro.

Gotcha, but still the few dozen it sells each week will never cause it to go up from it's current 15.9m on the front page.

But why do they seem low to you?

Yea it's always hard to track Nintendo systems during holiday. I dont think I've seen a year where it was adjusted up during the holidays which is really understandable. Although, the numbers dont seem fishy to me I think, but i would like to see adjustments just so the Switch gets to 50 millions before 2020 lol.

There are reports that the standard Switch is supply constrained in the US. That is the main reason we don't have sales higher for the Switch. Switch Lite is selling well in Japan, but outside of there the standard Switch in the majority of figures.

Yes, January 4, 2020 will be week 1 2020 for our figures.

Even in Japan the hybrid sku is the majority of sales. In December it has made up just over 1/3 of total sales and it has only outsold the hybrid model in three weeks which were launch week, special edition week & Pokemon week.

Was hoping for 1.6M Switch that week... well, maybe after adjustments...
