Forums - Sony Discussion - Charging PS4 pads indicate their power level by the Light bar Pulse speed! 8 Actual hidden PS4 features!

While charging, the light bar on the Dualshock 4 pulses fast when the battery is low and fast when it's almost done.  You might know a few of these things on the video but I bet there is at least 2 or 3 things here that will be new to you!

Sony want to make money by selling art, Nintendo want to make money by selling fun, Microsoft want to make money.

I didn't know about being able to see hidden trophies, so that may come in handy.
Though I think many of them are hidden because they contain spoilers, so beware of that.

I think I read that's exactly why they're hidden, spoiler proofing. I always make a habit of not looking at trophies or achievements for that very reason. Smart of them to hide them.

Thank you for watching, I'm glad you didn't just dismiss it as a standard Click bait video (despite the obvious clickbait thumbnail I used).  Hopefully it was also an enjoyable experience.

I'm confused, you say it pulses fast both when low and almost done? So how do I know it's still low or almost done?

Either way, I don't really care. I have two controllers and when one is empty I charge it and play with the other, I am focused on whatever game I'm playing and when I think about checking on the charging controller, it's already done!

Because if you look at it closely after hooking it then it is low, if it have been like 30min or 1h then it will be almost full.

Also it will turn of the light if it is full.
