Hah, kinda funny. I rather play a game with an amazing story and concept rather than a game I don't even wish to finish once because the story couldn't hold my attention.
So it doesn't work for you, but for die-hard FF7 fans around the world this is seriously going to be an incredible experience to go through all these familiar locations looking the way they do now. To be honest, this is like a new game pretty much anyway....I mean, I didn't even really know how Biggs, Jesse and Wedge looked like before. Now here they are like I'm seeing them for the first time lol.
This may as well be a new experience, but with a world I can actually care about.

Who cares, really?
There aren’t that many games as big as that coming out around that time.
The only games I can think of that could potentially affect it are Cyberpunk 2077 (april 16) and maybe The Last of Us Part 2 if it released around that time but it’s coming out on May 29.
And the next Zelda isn’t coming out any time soon...
I can think of no other games that are as anticipated as FFVIIR and could affect it.
