Probably the first to say this, but Im actually watching it mostly for the trailers and new game announcements.

Sadly, I'll miss it this year.

I'm always supportive of it though - Geoff really tries hard to make it a show worth watching and the actual event improves each year.

True. Its always a celebration of Video Games. Just a positive thing this industry could use more of.

Pretty clear from the player choice results that the Switch is on top right now. Not a single Xbox exclusive in day 2/3, only a single PS4 exclusive in day 2/3, and it is in a distant 4th place. Nintendo may very well finish in 1st and 2nd as the Jedi game is getting that Nintendo Hater love right now and Smash was in first place after day 1 and 2 and Fire Emblem was in 2nd both day 1 and 2 as well.

Since yesterday, DMC5, RE2 and Sekiro dropped out. Those games are for PS4/XBO/PC.
For people only playing on those systems, the only remaining options are Jedi Fallen Order, or Death Stranding.

Also, a well timed tweet from Disney/Star Wars/EA can tip the scales on any given day.

That tweet was from yesterday... and... Jedi has fallen... (sadly Star Wars after TLJ doesn't have the same power it did)

Sekiro is my game of the year, with Pokemon a close second. I don't think two games could be more disparate...

Neither will win anything, though.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Only interested in a potential character reveal for Smash.

Literally the least interesting thing for me. Don't get me wrong, I love Smash, but new games will ALWAYS be more exciting than some random new character coming to a year + old game.

I think Sekiro will take home at least one award.

Fire Emblem runs away with it, really weird considering that Smash was 1st after the first two rounds.  Must be a lot of Smash haters voted for it, lol.

A new game might be more exciting to me, but I can't tell if I'm going to be excited by a new game because I don't know what it is yet. Overall, the announcements at the game awards don't tend to appeal to my personal tastes, but I may be pleasantly surprised.
