Congrats to Nintendo, nice to see them rebound so spectacularly from the WiiU disaster. Not that outselling the Xbone is spectacular, but Switch is obviously seeing great sales.

Man I doubt anyone thought that when this gen started Xbox would end up in last place. It was done so effortlessly as well.

System with low end graphics, hardly any big AAA multiplats, and basically no multimedia supports easily outsells system with better graphics, full AAA multiplat support, and multimedia capabilities.

All the things people said would sink the Switch turned out not to matter so much after all.

Nintendo has always managed without the need of the AAA industry, which is becoming a bit of a dinosaur in the gaming industry at large. While it does thrive still on the PS-Xbox platforms, it has shrunk since peaking during the PS2 generation despite the fact that the gaming industry as a whole has grown tremendously since then.

Agree especially how well 360 did against PS3.

Sadly Microsoft made so many mistakes at launch and it meant PS4 stole back the sales that XBOX gained in the previous gen. Before this gen started I didn't think PS4 would get to 100million this easily but Sony just did everything right and did it without any fight on their hands
