Nintendo Switch Outsells Xbox One in Europe

The Nintendo Switch has outsold the sales of the Xbox One in Europe, according to our estimates.

The Nintendo Switch sold 179,797 units for the week ending November 23, 2019 to bring its lifetime sales to 11.36 million units in Europe. This compares to the Xbox One with sales of 11.21 million units.

The Switch launched in Europe three years and four months (nearly 1,200 days) after the Xbox One. The Switch launched in Europe on March 3, 2017, while the Xbox One launched on November 22, 2013.

Nintendo's hybrid console is also on the verge of outselling the worldwide sales of the Xbox One. The Xbox One has sold 44.02 million units through November 23, 2019, while the Switch has sold 43.00 million units.

With the drop in sales year-over-year for the Xbox One and the increase in sales year-over-year for the Switch, the Switch will surpass the sales of the Xbox One in the next two weeks of hardware sales reports.

I detected a little discrepancy.
The OP and article say the Xbox One is at 44.02 million units, but the Platform Totals page: (http://www.vgchartz.com/analysis/platform_totals/) has it listed at 44.74 million.

Looking at the numbers on VGC Pro it has Xbox One numbers at 44.02 million. So does the front page. Total on Platform Totals must be off. Though taking a quick look the other platforms are displaying the right number.

So what the Xbox One sold in Europe in 6 years, Switch just did exceeded in just over two and a half.

It may pass X1 completely by next week depending on how BF went.

The question is.... when does it do this in the US?

Seems like it will last quite a while.Switch is not even 2 mio ahead of XBone launch aligned right now.

When looking at all the numbers, i assume not earlier than holiday 2021, but rather in mid 2022. Unless something very special happens.

The most impressive part of this is that Europe is the Switch's weakest territory.

Switch outselling the Xbox One in the US will take the longest. Xbox One has sold over 26 million there, while the Switch is just under 15 million.
