Anyone else have an open loop? Was considering replacing my whole X299 for ryzen, but cheaper to stick the bugger under water. Anyone know if the Raystom Pro is still any good?

I recommend sticking with the stock ryzen cooler. My cpu (3900X) temp barely reaches 50 C while playing Metro Exodus and running a Youtube video at the sametime.

Unfortunately, XSPC doesn't have an adapter for such platform, but the new TRX40 motherboards support the existing TR4 cooling kits, tho, so you could check those and see if someone fits your needs.
Please excuse my bad English.

My bad if I was not clear enough, I currently on X299 and the chips get hot as you know, was wondering if open loop is worth it? I could get a Ryzen build instead, but it is far cheaper just sticking to what I have.
A proper watercooling setup will give you better temps, that's a given. But, unless you want to want to expand it to also cool your GPU, the difference isn't big enough to make it worth it.

I'll consider it then.
I find watercooling highly overrated. While it keeps the chips themselves cool, and better so than aircooling does, it fails to cool the surrounding components, especially the capacitors and other electronics on the motherboard. Having a good airflow in your case trumps the watercooling in my opinion due to this.
