People were quick to comment on the "disappointing" sales of Sword/Shield and how the decline continues for the series, ignoring the fact that the voucher program has had a negative impact on Nintendo games at retail since the summer. I even mentioned this would happen last month.

Since The Pokemon Company have released sales figures and proving them wrong most have gone silent on the matter.

Alrighty. Yeah a lot of folks around the internet were a bit too quick to jump on the "it underperformed" train, and I think a lot of that was due to plenty of people wanting it to underperform.
