Right. Because developers deliberately putting broken versions of their games on torrent sites in an effort to deter pirates is something that never happens.

Bleh.. Hopefully it's a rare thing, considering I just ordered the game which is set to arrive at launch :/. I suppose even if it's not it's nothing a patch or two can't fix. I have a hunch Game Freak bit off a tad more than they can chew as they're used to developing smaller-scale handheld-only titles. I'm sure it'll still be a fun game though, but there will likely be some issues that need to be ironed out.

So, you know for a fact that hes playing the release version of the game? He is playing the final cartridge release?

If they're releasing it on a cartridge instead of a Game Card, then there are much larger problems than just software bugs.
