I knew it from the second hint. "Gee I've been saved by Fox, how swell." - Falco, 1997. That game's one big treasure trove of cliche quotes.

Star Fox 64.

Yes. Loved it, I used to know almost the game's entire dialogue by heart.

46. Phantasy Star 4

Yes! I had to make that one a bit more obvious

Duck Hunt was one of the games I used to religiously play with my cousin, next to Black Box game Soccer (#49). The game has two modes, the titular duck hunt, and shooting clay pigeons. Both modes were mildly different in gameplay; where the clay pigeon targets are shot from the lower corners of the screen in a straight arc off in the distance, the ducks in the regular duck hunt mode would unpredictably fly about before escaping. While shooting clay pigeons was probably more suitable for us young kids, we almost exclusively opted to shoot ducks instead. The main character of this game is notorious, and simultaneously the game's most important asset. The dog, later known simply as the 'Duck Hunt Dog', fetches the shot ducks and would laugh at us when we failed. And even though we thought this was funny, getting laughed at was a great incentive to 'get good'. A motto to live by.

#50 - All great adventures begins with a fist to a tree.

Hint 2: Punch a tree and make a box.

#47 - A fishtank lacking in water and fish.

#46 - A StarCraft ship on a quest to find herself and maybe save the world.

50 Minecraft?

Correct!

a) The fourth game in a series about war.

b) Command a squad.

A bit of a strecht but, Call of duty: Modern warfare

Still nope. We have a few more days, I'll drop more hints later. But so far everyone can give it a go.

Yep, me to. For some reason I also keep remembering; "Caiman here. No problems... DO YOU COPY? Emergency maneuvers!" lol

It'll be on my list as well.

Meh now my picture and story for Duck Hunt were the last post of the previous page. I always feel like there's less exposure if you're the last post of a previous page. Anyways, next game.

#46: The name of the main character in this space opera game sure drives it home that he's just a rookie. At least he's the number one.

Probably the most underrated Zelda game out there. Spirit Tracks might take the franchise in a very not-Zelda-like direction, with the overworld being literally on-rails and what not, but at what it does this game is a lot of fun. It's got a nice story, great dungeons, great bosses, creative (even if sometimes cumbersome) uses of the DS' features, and great music. Apart from the soundtrack, all of those things could also be said of its predecessor, Phantom Hourglass - but where that game went badly wrong with its repetitive "hub" dungeon, Spirit Tracks nails it by allowing you to explore without a timer and skip segments you've already played through, while still keeping the stealth element intact.

Having not played it since 2013, it's hard to remember much, and that's why this game has consistently gone down the ranks. It's still a game I'd love to replay one day, because I do remember enjoying it a lot - definitely my favorite handheld Zelda.

I like Spirit Tracks by the way, one of the best handheld Zelda games. Initially I also ranked it above The Wind Waker overall, though that game's remaster has made it better. I was fine with the on-rails part, people complaining about the lack of exploration and stuff should replay it, there's plenty over extra track and stations to discover. I agree the dungeons and music were also pretty good.

Hint for #47:

The original Gravity Rush?

Super Mario Galaxy?

Another good guess!

It’s a Russian import ;)

I could be reading too much into it but... Tetris?
