OK, I fell massively behind, which means at some point I will spam the thread with game descriptions for the already guessed games. But to get ahead, I need to drop further hints for the upcoming games.

#23

This fastpaced game embodies everything the NES stood for. A must-play game that is a textbook example of gameplay, control, level and character design as far as sidescrollers go. The game is incredibly addicting because of it. I played it on my NES, but not when it came out. This means I had a fresh look on this game, and it's proof that it aged incredibly well. The game has an interesting password system that looks like tic-tac-toe. This password saves your progress through the eight main robot enemies, which can all be beaten in any random order. Obviously though, a weapon obtained by beating one of these bosses could be effective on the other. This adds a certain strategic aspect to the game. I just did whatever, I didn't really know. I should still have a stack of papers with passwords drawn on them somewhere.

#22: A cheat code in this game gives you an offer for a decent amount of money. Declining that offer though gives you a big castle to build instead afterwards.

I can't even realize, how you have guessed #24 after that super vague hint. The other two are wrong though.

@mZuzek I still can't see the images you post for some reason. It just goes on vgchartz forums as a broken link. Are you using Imgur or some other site to host the images?

Yeah, I am using Imgur. I don't know what the issue is, and it's even weirder that no one else has it, so I can't help but think it is something on your end. Can you see the image on the OP?

Edit: by the way...
#22 - A sci-fi game themed around the idea of light vs. dark. Very original.

Yeah, imgur is blocked on my network at work. So that explains it. I should be able to see your images once I get home and on my own PC.

Well, my first gut was to guess a sequel to the Monkey Island series, but then I realized you would never have a Monkey Island game so low on your list.  I know you like Adventure games, so I guessed another sequel to a really old Adventure series.  That was my logic at least.

#23 - Super Street Fighter II (SNES): In my childhood, I had the original Street Fighter II for SNES. One day, I played the Super version that a school friend had. I couldn't believe how great it was. More characters, more stages, more game modes... It was amazing. Even if I have played Street Fighter IV by now, I still think SSF2 is the best in the franchise.
