What will be revealed at the Game Awards 2019

Forums - Gaming Discussion - What will be revealed at the Game Awards 2019

That time of the year is approaching, and given the increase in reveals at such places we can only begin to speculate like its E3.

At least to me Smash's 5th DLC character is an obvious contender. Without a reveal with Terry's blowout the only other contender is a direct, though I can concede that it might make a good Jan 2020 direct lead or closer.

My best bet would be the new batman game with the court of owls. Its rumored to be called Batman Arkham Legacy where you play not just as batman but the the bat family. My guess is a cross gen release during holiday 2020.

Bioware is teasing an official reveal of Dragon Age 4 so that might just show up and it kinda needs to since Bioware is pretty much dead at this point.

And I think we're due another gameplay trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 before its release in April.

Considering the games announced last year and the fact that viewership for the Game Awards skyrocketed between 2017 and 2018, I think theres gotta be some big name games teased/announced.

Sony would want to announce a big IP to be released relatively close to the PS5's launch. My best guess is its a Horizon Zero Dawn sequel, since its speculated its already in development and a notorious game like that one will help a lot boosting the PS5's launch sales. Edit: On second thoughts tho, this may be more likely for the next E3. Maybe.
A New Naughty Dog game teased. Possibly that new multiplayer IP we heard of a while ago.
Dragon Age 4 was teased last year, maybe another tease this year.
Nintendo is gonna announce Patch 1.1 for Pokemon s/s for february 2020 which will add 200 missing mons in the game. =P

If MS doesn't reveal Halo Infinite gameplay at X019 next week, I hope they at least show something at the Game Awards. We're a year away from release and we've had very little information about the game, not even an estimate on when the public beta tests (or "flightings" as they're now calling them) are expect to happen. Halo 5 already had a multiplayer gameplay reveal 14 months before launch, complete with an announcement of the date the public beta would run. With Halo Infinite, we've had some vague trailers that confirmed a return of a more classic style art design and music, and barely a drip feed of meaningful info on the game.

Not alot I suspect. Most publishers are saving up announcement because they're working on next-gen games now. They won't announce those until or after the official PS5 and Xbox Scarlett reveal events (rumored for early 2020). Might get a few small tidbits, trailers for already announced games mainly, but I doubt we'll get anything as big as the announcement for The Outer Worlds last year for instance.

We'll see... awards. Really, I don't think anyone is going to show anything big there.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Doesn't need to be big: one year I believe it was Cranky Kong being playable in Tropical Freeze

I'd love to see if they ever officially show that Harry Potter RPG that got leaked a long while back. That Batman Court of Owls game as mentioned earlier could be shown too since there were teases. A new crash bandicoot by Vicarious Visions could be announced too since it was Beenox who made CTR.

If the 5th character for Smash is Crash Bandicoot, then I hope the trailer establish that the game we are seeing is Smash Bros before they show Crash. If they show Crash and then we learn that its the next Smash character, then I think many people will be angry because they want a new game in that series.

I would like a reveal of Bluepoints game. Of course, that will most likely happen at the PS5 reveal, but I can hope.
