Switch should get them to 800 million easy, possibly as high as 830 million I'm thinking. If their next gen device is better than Switch sales it will have a shot at getting them to the 1 billion sold, if not we will have to wait two generations or three even (if Switch 2 is another WiiU situation).

So Nintendo isn't going third party?

Switch on its way to beat SNES.

When do you think it will get it? End of December? February?

7.43 Million left, so...

With a good holiday boost, I can see it happening around February or earlier, yes. I don't think it will happen this year, though.

Nah, they're still going third party, Switch will stop selling when PS5/Nextbox come out, they've used all their big IPs already, and it won't be getting AAA PS5/Nextbox ports and without those nobody will buy it anymore.

Left as of last reporting officially. What date was that?

Also wow, I knew there are a LOT more Kirby games than Animal Crossing games, but this surprised me.

Sarcasm?

They still don't have, after the end of this year, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Metroid Prime 4, Botw 2, a proper 2d Mario game that is new, star for, kid Icarus, advanced wars, paper Mario, a new Donkey Kong game, etc. And the success of the Switch means develope s will be more willing to port ps5/xbox2 games to switch.

I'll never be convinced it's a limitation issue after all the ports to the Wii. 360/ps3 -- Wii gap is greater than ps5/Xbox 2 -- Switch power gap. If they don't want to make the ports for Switch due to lazyness or not thinking it will sell, that's fine and their choice, but they absolutely can make ports with enough effort.
