Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Will Make More 3DS Franchises Available on Nintendo Switch

Well, at least that's what is said in this quick GoNintendo article.

And this Twitter post by Takashi Mochizuki.

I really hope this includes Kid Icarus Uprising and WarioWare.

I did not like tbh Kid Icarus U, I never managed to play it for more than 3 hours or so, but WarioWare should most definitely make an appearance on the Switch. I would also kill for a reboot/proper sequel for Professor Layton

While I expect WarioWare on Switch at some point, I'd be beyond surprised if we see another Kid Icarus (much as I'd personally like to see that). I fully expect we're going to see some version of games like Tomodachi Life and Nintendogs, which both shifted several million on 3DS and may find an even bigger audience on Switch.

I hope that means the Mii series will make its way over eventually. Tomodachi Life and Miitopia were great

RIP 3DS

...Now give me Kid Icarus Uprising 2

I imagine its gonna be Professor Layton/WariorWare. They are very popular. Maybe even DKC or Advanced Wars?
Hopefully down the road we'd get some older franchises, like Golden Sun, FZero or maybe even - with a bit of luck and Atlus's support- Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle.
Any returning franchise is welcomed.

Prediction. Nintendo makes more budget friendly sequels to 3ds games, thereby pumping them out quickly to satisfy people, while their big budget games are grooming for release on Switch 2. Some may be cross gen, like Botw2 or MP4, but id imagine Odyssey sequel is being made as launch title for switch 2 as well as next gen Mario Kart, Smash 6, and Mario Bros. This way they can satisfy consumers while also preparing to have a successful lunch of Switch 2 in 2022/2023.

Why is everyone going straight to Wario Ware!

No love for Wario Land? C'mon. A 2.5D Wario Land similar to the first 4 games...I'd be down for that.

Well, about time.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
