The disaster of the 12th still has some impact I guess...Because I don't think 1 week is enough to recover from this like nothing happened :

With the number of the PS4 it could be still that sales are cut by half for all machines.

Only happened in some areas, the Rugby World cup is in Japan and they only had to cancel a few games. last weekend though all the games went ahead fine.

Japan seems to suffer from a lot of natural disasters. I live near Chicago, in the US, and the worst we get is a bad snowstorm in the winter but there isn't usually long lasting effects.

Hardware sales are once again very low. I think it's a decent start for Ring Fit Adventure although I'm not sure how happy Nintendo is with this launch.

They're situated in quite an unfortunate place as they're Islands right where tectonic plates have significant movement so the results are earthquakes, tsunamis and storms.

Between Typhoon Hagibis and the new taxes, numbers are depressing all around.

Also, Switch to PS4 ratio still at around 8:1.

Switch family is down ~2.5k week over week; of that, Switch is down ~4.5k while Lite is up ~2k. Solid debuts for Ring Fit Adventure and Story of Seasons, but only few Switch games have a visible impact on hardware sales. Last year's quite successful Super Mario Party didn't leave a footprint on the hardware charts either; I don't remember during which October week it launched and you can't tell from the table below.

Luigi's Mansion 3 releases in week 44, so one more ~55k week ahead of us. Then the question how big of a hardware bump LM3 can provide.

How much do you think LM3 will do lifetime japan?

Also for old time sake, do you think LM3 can do 10mil lifetime WW? Should i do my first Bold prediction of the year with that?

Definitely more than 1m. I'd say 1.4-1.6m.

As for worldwide, I expect growth over the second game. This time around 10m aren't completely nuts, but still very much a stretch. 7-8m lifetime is more realistic.

Yes im in line with your thinking of WW lifetime sales. 7mil seems to be the realistic expectation and 10mil is a stretch but not impossible.

Itll sell more than 5mil easily though
