I bought animal crossing and threw it in the garbage on the way out the store. I looked at the box art and knew it wasn't for me. I was getting major Final Fantasy VI vibes.

I just cut my losses and played Street Fighter 4.

Eh, it being poorly written is part of why it gets attention.

But good on kirby for collecting all those virtual points. And they say Nintendo fans don't want trophy support. :p

Yeah I try to give games a good go myself before judging.  I gave Red Dead Redemption 2 a good 30 hours before deciding it was just a pretty piece of overrated boredom for me.  BotW however I was hooked within the first 15 min, and after 200 hours still go back to it this day.  Easily my game of the generation.

Every gamer is different and have different tastes for sure.  On another note, I find it a little funny how you call someone out for only playing a great game 5 min before quitting, but then immediately admit to doing the exact same thing to 2017's GotY on a rival platform.  Kinda makes you hard to take seriously TBH.

I’m aware of that but I did say that I’d play it again for longer to make a decision, I never said I quit the game after 5 mins because I know that 5 mins is never enough to judge a game and I don’t own the game, so whenever I find it and play it, I will be playing for a lot longer than 5 mins. The 5 mins is just an initial judgement but it’s not the final judgment

The prologue is nothing like the rest of the game since it takes place right as the events of the game are beginning to unfold. So it has no combat in it. That comes when you play as the main character. So go back in.
