Forums - Gaming Discussion - I quit The Last of Us after 5 minutes

I quit tlou because it gave me the same vibe as detroit become human which i dropped after about an hour for being a sims 4 clone with mature content. A story driven game thats lacks my kind of fun.

So i cut my losses and rather went on my 6th run in darksiders 3.

As someone mentioned i might pick it up after my 9th run in darksiders, and see if its like RE4

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

although I think tlou is highly overrated, it's still a great game and nothing like a quantic dream game. it's more like resident evil 4 but with more emotions.

I'm not a fan of Uncharted or Last of Us (although i've played all of them), but I do think you might want to atleast pass the prologue since its not like a Quantic Dream game, it is heavily cinematic and has lots of cutscenes but like it has been said, the game is more so like resident evil 4 with uncharted DNA in it.

Somehow I'm doubting the veracity of the OP.

Haven't played Detroit, but TLoU is a must play OP.  It's a must play.

Sounds like some terrible decision-making. It's entirely possible the decision was the correct one, but the reason is just horrible.

Pretty dumb.

You may end up having not liked it, but your grasp on the game and all it offers at that point is almost non-existent.

Having said that, if you have a physical copy, I'd microwave it and cut my losses.

I only made it through 30 min of tlou and I liked Detroit.

Hey, if you say "I didn't play TLOU because it didn't look like my type of game", I wouldn't have any reaction to it. But to make a decision on whether you like the game based on the Prologue where you have almost none of the functions available to you in the main game....

Poor decision. You made a less informed decision than if you had literally played nothing.
