Same as I said in the PS3 thread, GTA V. Amazing graphics and a huge open world. Easily more impressive than linear corridor type games with great graphics imho.

Been a while since I fired up GTAV but I remember thinking it had the best water I had ever seen in a game.

Halo 4 looked better than some next gen titles in its genre.

I've basically said this before. Halo 4 running at 1080p or 4K with 60 fps is a gorgeous game.

While the assets are dated, it just has a great art style and a clean presentation we dont see in more visually demanding game.

For example, Halo 5 has much better assets and effects. But Halo 4 has the higher resolution and none of the jarring pop or poorly animated distant models. So Halo 4 on X1 ultimately looks better.

I've said so in the past, even made a whole thread about it a couple years back, but I feel like as great as Halo 4 looks, the focus on it unfortunately results in the graphical accomplishments of other 360 games like Gears 3/Judgement and Forza Horizon getting overlooked and unappreciated.

I do feel an honourable mention is due to Forza Horizon 1 though, now that was a beautiful game.

Rounds out the system's top guns for me along with the three previously mentioned.

And with so much potential.

It looks gorgeous in native 4K on my Xbox One X:

Between Halo 4 and Gears. The only thing 343 did better than Bungie were the impressive visuals.

Forza Horizon, tomb raider, halo 4.

Outside of the Big Four I mentioned, some other impressive ones worth mentioning for me are Witcher 2, Crysis 3, and Rage.

The 360 was an absolute beast for hardware that came out in 2005, it's insane how well it held its own for so many years graphically.

Witcher 2 was not well optimized. It had some of the worst texture pop in even when installed and it always looked pixelated probably due to lack of filtering. However, X1X give a 4K boost and fixes texture problems.

All the Crysis games had impressive assets, but textures could be muddy, poor draw distance and frame rate were issues. DF did a video on all three and its kinda jarring.

Rage was a mixed bag visually. Like texture pop in, character models seemed kinda dated, the world in general wasnt that impressive to look at. However, it looked good for a 60 fps game.

Some other games that I think aged well visually are Resident Evil 5 and 6. Dead Space games and Mass Effect games. All of those games still look good even if they can be nitpicked.
