The last of us or uncharted is a high bar to beat to be honest, they have some pretty good rendering pipelines and showcase what the PS3 was capable of.

I would have, but as I have made that thread twice before over the years I thought I'd be pushing my luck going for round 3. ;)

I actually thought TLoU was a step down from Uncharted 3.

Yeah, same here tbh. It still looks amazing and did push the technology further with stuff like character models and lighting, but it came at the cost of a sometimes shaky framerate.

Uncharted 3:

Dead Space 2:

God of War: Ascension:

These graphical beasts need to be experienced in motion though.

Uncharted3, The Last of Us, God of War Ascension. All look fantastic. But there are so many others which look great as well.

Though they don't quite match the prowess of games built from the ground up and specifically tailored for PS3's whacky architecture, some multiplats I thought looked really great on PS3 were Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012) and Hot Pursuit, (2010) Bioshock Infinite, and Assassin's Creed 4.

Don't ever discount B2S on the graphics discussion.

Like many others have pointed out. I thought the foliage and lighting was mesmerizing in Last Of Us. Then again, God Of War 3 and Ascension were technical marvels as well. Damn PS3 really did push the limits, didn't it?

Yeah, PS3 was 6,5 years old at the time. They really squeezed out every last drop of juice.

It's a toss up between The Last of Us and God of War Ascension.
