Is it a good port

Yes 32 58.18%

No 9 16.36%

It's an OK 14 25.45%

Total:55

Why people keep saying switch it’s a 2015 technology? It’s an enhanced (quite better) version of nvidia shield.

About the game, Nintendo supporters never cared about graphics, but this port is outstanding. Yeah it looks blurry and downgraded compared with Ps4/xbone versions, but having the ability to play it on the go is a big plus!

Nope, it's an underclocked version of the 2015 NVidia Shield

All I see is a lot of salt and downplay being thrown around over a very good port. I mean the amount of sarcasm in some of the OP replies that he tries to look unbias with is kind funny TBH. But I digress...

Switcher 3 looks good to me, and I already beat the game on my PS4. I will be playing it again on Switch both docked and portable, as a game like this is perfect for burst play on the go. I never had time for a second playthrough before, but with Switch I do so I look forward to making different choices this time around. That alone makes this the best version of the game for me. CD Project Red deserves my money for this game, and I hope more big games like this continue to come to Switch.

We went from "impossible on Switch" to "not so good" to "okay port".

Yeah I might get it after all.

They did a remarkable job with this port, just wow. I'm so amazed. It stands well next to the console versions, and that's insane. The game is running quite well on a system that averages >10 watts vs systems that use what, 200 watts? Damn. Crazy.

Saber just one upped panic button. I wish Nintendo would buy both of them. This game and some others show the switch punching above its weight... no matter what anyone says..... this is running on >10 watts ported from 200 watts.... just astonishing.

Personally, I think its mediocre at best. The fact the full game can be ported seems to sidetrack from the real conversation. I guess the standard is so low nowadays that the fact that we can get the port at all is excuse enough for whatever technical shortcomings said port has.

I find what Saber managed to do to be quite remarkable...the problem is, the way they had to do it (without redoing complete art, like ports were done in the old days) produces version that is so blurry and cutdown that it looks quite terrible.

And this is just days after a great port that Sniper Elite 3 is - albeit game that is originally more of 7th gen tech game, but precisely because of that, with less things that needed to be cut down, looks vastly superior to TW3 port.

Sorry, do gamers lie to themselves to make the themselves feel better? The Switch is heavily downclocked, it is weaker than the shield. Nintendo should of just rebranded them.

Don't know why compare to ps4 or any other machine. It would compare very bad. But when talking about the port itself it seems quite good even if the resolution is quite low.

You might need some sensitive matter to be tones down, if you think i made some sarcasme effort. Or Probably need some a real reading glass.

Switch owner need to thanks CD Projekt Red , despite on how bad Switch is is in terms of spec t, They still able to bring the games on decent quality and make it (somehow ) playable on Switch although with frame rates going down at 20 to 22 fps

So are we going to just pretend that the PS4 did not drop into the high teens and low 20s, like you seem to be constantly pointing out on Switch?

https://youtu.be/tkB8gpPzMkw

As you can see, the PS4 had the exact same issues with the exact same cutscenes.  In populated areas where the Switch can dip into low 20s, the PS4 dips to mid-high 20s.    While the PS4 does handle it better, it is not quite as much of a gap like you want people to believe.  And the fact that when someone tells you that the dips only really happen in two areas, you are quick to reply with something like, "Oh well that is where most of the story scenes are so you will be there most of the time" (which again have the exact same dips to low 20s on PS4 as shown by DF)

Then you ignore the fact that the combat and most of the gameplay outside of Novigrad runs steady at 30 FPS, very similar to the PS4.  The visuals are the trade off for portability, so you know people expect that.  However it seems odd that you would constantly try to point out the performance, when the PS4 did not handle it much better.

Or you could just ya know...hide it better?
