That V shape looks like a dust collector. Top should be flat.

If only it could collect stardusts...

I may be one of the few people that liked the design of it on all its goofyness. Also consoles are stored in place that we don't keep looking at them anyway

So you like it, but even if you didn't, it wouldn't matter.

I think it looks gross, but I don't think it really matters, because I'm willing to bet that Sony comes out with a nice design before launch. In other words, consumers will never see this abomination. And I think most everyone knows that, but in the small unlikely event that this thing actually does get released to consumers, a lot of the PS Fans don't want to be caught saying something bad about the design. In other words, yes, I think that most of the people who are saying they like the design are either lying, or their bias has them convinced of something. This is why so many people are mentioning that the look of the console doesn't matter. People wouldn't be saying that so often if the design looked nice. Sometimes I wish I wasn't blessed (or cursed) with the ability to read people like a book.

But yeah, nothing against said people, but I just wanted to call it out for the record.

That fan video that was posted a few pages back with a theoretical PS5 had some cool ideas, and looked decent. I like the display on the controller as well as the  HDMI ports for PSVR on the front.

Don't just come and call people fanboys based on your self proclamed amazing people reading skills.

You are making yourself a big disservice there, seriously.

I would appreciate if you left that outside of this thread, all of it, really, we don't need it, none of it, at all.

I think it looks too flashy for me. Hopefully the lights wouldn't attract my gaze, because I usually don't look at my console while playing.

I'd prefer a sleek design, as usual.
And the empty space I'm sure could be used for something better. It's reportedly designed that way for stacking multiple systems, which is something you shouldn't do with consoles.

But the PS4 is all about stacking!

I miss the days of interesting looking consoles. We haven’t had a console that really TRIED to look like a game console since the original Xbox, or arguably the Dreamcast. So many consoles these days just try to be black boxes that melt into your media center. I miss having consoles with more personality in their design.

Hmm, you don't quite look old enough to be able to purchase this particular rated PS4 game. Can I see some ID?

Gosh golly. Would you look at that. My mistake good sir. You have yourself a wonderful day and enjoy your game!

The Canadian National Anthem According To Justin Trudeau

Oh planet Earth! The home of native lands,
True social law, in all of us demand.
With cattle farts, we view sea rise,
Our North sinking slowly.
From far and snide, oh planet Earth,
Our healthcare is yours free!
Science save our land, harnessing the breeze,
Oh planet Earth, smoke weed and ferment yeast.
Oh planet Earth, ell gee bee queue and tee.

I'd still buy it, but I'd figure out a way to mod the case. It's ugly.

I'm really bummed that you saw my post as offensive. I apologize; I truly meant no disrespect.  See, fanboy has a negative connotation to it, and some people do not like to be referred to as such. If you felt targeted, I assure you that I know nothing of your gaming tendencies. I'm fine with people who would typically be considered fanboys, and I think others should be too. It shouldn't be looked down upon to like a single console/company.

This does bring up an interesting conundrum, though, because you took offense to my generalization. In fact, my post seemed to have upset you so much so that you decided to personally attack me. You were rude while I was polite. And the thing is, I don't think I said anything at all in my post that was inaccurate, or hurtful.

Do you disagree with my post? This is the way human beings oftentimes act; myself included. People tend to get defensive and provide extra reasons for things.

Imagine this hypothetical situation: "Why are you coming home so late tonight?" - *Starts sweating.* "Sorry dear, I had to put in some extra time at the office, then got caught in some gnarly traffic on the way back. Lots of cops around so I couldn't text or call on the drive back." <-- The husband meant well. He didn't mean to be so late. He lost track of time by accident, but when put on the spot, I couldn't just tell my wife that I forgot about our anniversary! I'm such a bad husband. *Ahem*

Is someone's tendency towards being a "fanboy" something that is forbidden to discern? Why is it such a touchy subject? Is it because fanboys are the source of "troll" posts, and as such, they set a low expectation of someone's credibility. In other words, not all fanboys are A-holes, but people might assume that you are if they know you're a fanboy? Or is it because such discussions often turn into flame wars?

Also, it might help if you knew that the Don and I are super tight (the person who I was posting to). He's one of the people who helped me decide on my PSVR purchase and which games to get with it, and my 4K TV that I bought the same week. He even agreed with my post.
