Forums - General Discussion - Why am i still visiting the site?

Not for the numbers, not for the fresh look, not for the amazing mobile app, not for the great optimized ads, not for the users I hate half of you and the rest I despise.

But for those badges, points and vg$ damn you collectibles. Damn you achievements

Peace

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I get you. 200 user reviews written are a ton of reviews. I would need to make a review for every single game I play, and at that point I would be writting more than playing.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

Interesting reason, all that stuff shows it how much of our life we've wasted on this silly site, I'd hide it if I could lul.

LOL

I've taken the time to translate this message at it is obviously a coping mechanism and a manfifestation of grief:

This week, my namesake passed on.  That's right, John Kirby, the man who successfully fought Universal City Studios for Nintendo's ability to copyright Donkey Kong and subsequently became the name of the pink ball that consumes all, left this mortal coil at the grand age of 79, just 20 days before his 80th birthday.

I don't mean to offend anyone and actually love you all so much, but this is the only way I can convey just how deeply I have been affected by the passing of the man who lent his name to my most favorite character of all time. I do love this site so much and I could never bear to leave it, even if I was the last remaining user.  It is my lifeblood and a gift and I cherish every moment that I am able to torment new users, ridicule the veterans, and generally be a thorn in the side of the moderators and admins.  Thank you all for this opportunity that has now spanned over a decade of my existence.  You will all never be forgotten, no matter how inferior your post count and your post quality may be.

Instead, you can just get yourself a book of stickers, and give yourself one every few days. Same thing basically.
