Don't use the JoyCons much, but I've had no issues so far since I got my Switch in July 2017. The amount of JoyCons screwing up is unacceptable though, especially with their high price.



Lifetime Sales Predictions 

Switch: 151 million (was 73, then 96, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million)

If anyone needs advice on this I would be happy to give it.

Have you tried those joysticks? are you endorsing them? if that's the case I'm going to buy them, I already have the tools and know how to remove them.

I have purchased and replaced.... 7 different Joycons in my switch and the little guys one, using various replacements gotten from Amazon and Ebay, most of the replaced ones have not needed to be replaced again, one which was used for heavy 10 year old fortnite play did but again at the cost of under a fiver.

Read the reviews on there, if the review is "this was too hard and I couldn't put it in 1*" then disregard it because it's a person who shouldn't have bought them to do the joy, I would strongly advise, look up a youtube video on doing it as you go because there is very small ribbons in the joycon which you have to flip up a plastic tab to release, slow and steady and you'll have a 100% joycon for the price of a tea.

and replace your right joycon altogether with a Hori version complete with proper D-pad (no wireless or motion control in this though, but beautiful dpad and very strong stick)

Pretty much impossible to break it since there's not a tiny Joycon stick in it. Comfortable as hell for your hands too!

Edit: No rumble in these though, and no internal batteries. I guess they run off the Switch battery instead of internal Joycon batteries.

My lefty recently started to drift. This compounds a disconnection/button-press-not-being-registered kind of issue I have as well. But I live in Trinidad and I've been down this road before with getting support (a big headache), so I'll probably trying replacing the analog sticks as mentioned here. Won't solve my disconnection/button issue though.
