Listen, I'm the last one to be happy about no multiplayer but I'm pretty sure you'd also complain if it did have a "tacked on multiplayer that stole resources from making a good singleplayer campaign".

It sounds like it will be a stand-alone title that takes place in the TLoU universe, sort of like Apex and Titanfall. If this is true, I’m all about it. I’m sure the single player will be amazing, but this news really disappointed me at first because ND has proven several times that they can produce amazing story-based experiences, while still providing a solid multiplayer component. I give them a lot of credit, hence why I was disappointed. But if it really is a matter of delivering an excellent SP first, and then an excellent MP down the road, I can wait. Hopefully this is the case.

Aside from a few hardcores (like people that hang out in gaming forums), I don't think there was much interest in the MP in the first game. So, it makes more sense to use those resources to make the campaign better.

No need to quote and reply to your whole post, we can just agree to disagree. I thought it was incredible. Better than the SP. But it’s hilarious that you think it’s “good” in one post and yet in others you’re very dismissive of it, describing it as obligatory or forced and “tacked on”. 

And idk what you’re going on about with the “you people” bullshit. I said I was disappointed that there would be no MP, I haven’t said anything negative about them making it DLC or stand alone. So save that nonsense for someone else please.

Again, adorable. It makes people here say the darnedest things.

1. Yes they are, and the level of quality is roughly on the same level as most free to play games.

2.  Luckily the quality bar is set a bit higher for Sony first-party AAA releases than what something like Gears 5 can offer, so no, the comparison would not be fair It might stand toe-to-toe with something like Day's Gone but let's not kid ourselves, they are NOT on the same level as Naughty Dog. 

Xbox gamers lean towards multiplayer over singleplayer, saying that outloud hasn't made this site go to shit afaik.

But if you think that saying your opinion is representative of being an Xbox gamer is derogatory... Well that would be weird. "Console wars" lol.
