Citation needed. Shipment data refutes your over double statement.
DQ9 did sell 132k in its first month. So you can calculate revenue ($40 vs $60) to get an idea of the difference.
Well, we know that the game shipped nearly 800k (number varies based on different trackers/digital estimations) in the West by November 2018 (Source), so that's obviously not correct. I was not using VGC as a source of my information.

Maybe you aren't reading what you replied to you're saying it's the best selling in the west which according to this sites numbers isn't true launch month doesn't change the reality that both IX and VIII have sold more in total than XI, you're also talking about the PS4 version yet you're lumping in Steam's sales as well because that's what the 800k shipment figure includes even the tweet includes the PC version. IX and VIII have sold 1.4m and 1.5m compared to the PS4 version which would be around 600-700k.

Everything I could find placed IX's LT sales just over 1m, and the assumption I was making is that it has done another 200k in the past 10 months (which I feel is reasonable, but not guaranteed). Where do you see the lifetime numbers for IX and VIII? I promise I googled around for them.
I was comparing DQ11 to DQ11S, which was the same comparison being made in the post that Shiken was responding to. Shiken made the statement that the sales in the West were bad, so I assumed that it was a broadbrush for both versions (with the mentions of PS4 due to it not releasing on PC in Japan and the PC sales being a minority).
While I understand that the majority of the people responding are PS fans, I thought the point being argued was that it's higher scores was attributed to its platform rather than a PS4 vs Switch reviewers comment.
