I just missed this. Seems like I didn't miss much anyway.

You didn't missed SoP, at most you didn't watch it =p

The good part of this show was that now people can stop saying TLOU2 will release only in PS5 or even be true crossgen (release together). Now only ghost of tsushijima left to show it is for PS4 (DS already close to release).

And for me I haven't see the point of Wattam, wouldn't pay a single dollar for it.

I think it's safe to say GoT will be on ps4. They already said it was running on Pro at last years E3 and three out of those four showcases are now on or will be on ps3 by Feburary. Perhaps GoT will get the late summer spot as I think they will skip the May slot this year with Cyberpunk in April. Who know's, maybe they will shake it up and throw us a June-July game but I'm cool with a September-October release for GoT.

I have no doubt it will be PS4, and may have a port or enchanced edition for PS5 if it do well. But many are betting on PS5 only or crossgen. We need release date for they to be convinced.

So reading from this thread... The state of play is currently underwhelming? One could even argue it's in a bad state of existence?

Based on the opinions of a Nintendo fan? Sure, I have no doubt that it could be underwhelming.

Based on people actually owning a PS4? Well, the like/dislike ratio on YouTube has greatly improved from the first State of Play with 91% of people now giving it a thumbs up. Personally, I've learned to manage my expectations so I enjoyed it as well.

Basically, whether you view it as "bad" or not is all down to relative expectations.

Exactly. And it seems like the majority of people watching on YouTube have learned to do just that. I'd probably rate it 7/10 as there's still room for improvement.

The biggest reason why I own PS hardware is Naughty Dog so naturally I was pretty happy with what we got. I hope to see the multiplayer in the near future as I've enjoyed TLOU's mp A LOT.

The thing is just a bunch of trailers. The quality of the show depends on the content. As Sony starting keeping its best content announcements for themselves instead of other organisations events, the state of play will get better.

Still, this one was good in my opinion.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

Just me. This is a great format. SoP is genersting hype.
Unlike just announcing release dates from their 1st party and 3rd party exclusive games. SoP can give small games a chance for people to see this upcoming games.  Using SoP to highlight their VR games as well.

I remember people complaining that these small games are just being announce randomly in ps blog.  That people are missing checking the game announcement. Now these games will have more coverage.

I like the format. Save the majority of big guns for a conference style next year. SoP will have random big games annuncment and updates thru out the year.
Will gives this small games to shine when ps 5 will release.

First impression was "okay this is just TLoU2 show".... and a deathstranding limited ed. PS4 console.
kinda underwhelming.

After watching Inside Xbox.... your perspective change though, because that was actually worse than this State of Play.
Time for Nintendo to come out with a good Direct, and show them both how its done.

The last direct was bad. Looks like this month is a bust for everyone.

I don't have an opinion. I was basing my comment on the comments I read on this thread. I'm still getting over how bad the last Nintendo Direct was to be bothered to have an opinion on Sony State of Play. I was just curious what the general consensus for Sony fans was.

Found it wasn't that bad, maybe hoping for seeing something New of Project awakening, but i found it o.k.
