I personally wouldn't be shocked if Pokemon scores 88+. I think it looks really good, despite all the hate.

Flood gates just opened up raining new titles, new revision of the OG Switch and soon the Switch mini as well, this holiday season is gonna be crazy for the Switch, I'd wager seeing around 5-6 weeks with 1m+ systems sold over the holidays. Fingers crossed that the mini doesn't have any hardware launch issues now for them to clean up completely because the Switch is doing great right now gonna take a major f up for them to fall from their number 1 spot any time soon.

It's getting some vocal minority people wound up a bit because it doesn't have every single one of the near 900 or so Pokemon in it, that said... there are millions of people who are ready to get their hands on that and love every bit of it, there are gonna be so many copies of Pokemon Sword/Shield under christmas tree's Nintendo are gonna make bank on the success.

I think the amount of time and work that they've put into the game I would be very shocked to see less than 85% for it, at a bare minimum I could see it touching close to the 90% mark unless there is something genuinely bad about the game at launch but Pokemon is gonna sell a ton of software and a ton of hardware, it's one of the few titles as well that can achieve over a 1:1 attach rate considering that a large number of people will be buying both versions of the game.

But just regarding the hate.... 1 person making 100 posts of "it's gonna suck balls" doesn't mean 100 people are angry about it, just that one person wants others to join the cause and it ain't working so well for them.

Me either. I'd just be a little disappointed in reviewers. Either that or the game would have to be downright amazing in every aspect other than reused animations, limited dex, no megas, etc. If the main campaign was just perfect pacing, the new Poke's all fantastic, and the story was really good. It could overcome those hurdles. But I see that as unlikely. 

Well said.  Agreed on all points.  There is no doubt in my mind Sword/Shield will have well over 100 Pokemon, which is plenty.  I never understood the desire to have 1,000+.  Reminds me of people complaining Forza only has 300 cars.  Do people really use all 300 cars?  I never did, I picked a few dozen and had fun.  Pokemon is the same, I will pick my favorites and use them.  Having extra Pokemon for the sake of having them isn't a reason to be negative.

How is a level editor not new content?

Never played the original, and yet I really, really love the first three Zeldas on the NES and SNES. This remake gives me a chance to play an amazing game that I've never played before.

Never played it before, got to the second dungeon. Excellent game, though the frame rate studder is jarring.
